So how come we upgrade Flynn with a HOFer and keep Jeremy Lin the same?

We get it as you stated in the other thread, you don't like Lin because he's Asian. Basketball alone, your blind if you can't see who the better player is, it was on full display tonight. You hype up Lin as if he's your child, the guy is a an avg d-league player at best.

Natural reaction after this game says Lin, which is who I voted for. More of a system player, less court vision, but can play defense, hit tough shots and play under control.

But....Flynn does have some nice qualities. He tends to over dribble but his ball handling and probing is quite impressive. I noticed that he disrupted the defense a lot creating good shots for his teammates.

Tough one because I like both. We are deep at the 1 and this is huge from the days of having to rely on Conroy, Smith, or Temple.

Jeremy Lin had one hell of a game but I don't think we can discredit Flynn's game.
I agree that Flynn dribbled the ball too much but he does have an inressive control over the ball and is a good passer.

Lin just balled today. He just showed us athleticism and skill that shouldn't be ignored.

Both show promise with this team. Personally, I'm excited to see the rockets run hard and play strong at the end. Great set of players is all I have to say.

    I say Flynn.

For one reason--he has a guaranteed contract.

    Jeremy Lin.

And I wish either he or I weren't Asian since I don't sound biased. Flynn is a nice player and I'd like to keep both but if it came down to it Lin should get the job. He plays smart and he has great not good but GREAT fundamentals. Plus he's smart and works hard.

funny how an hour ago every would be favoring Flynn over Lin, not saying Flynn is any good, but don't kneejerk so hard.

The things one preseason game can do. I was impressed by Lin today, but I need to see him do that consistently against NBA starters.

I like Lin more than Flynn, but my vote will stay with Flynn for now.

Not a knee jerk reaction, I along with a bunch of other posters pointed out how bad Flynn was even before Lin stepped on the court. Lin is just a better player who can do what a pg is supposed to do. Flynn makes Steve Francis look like Steve Nash.

Lin deserves a spot, but wont get one cuz we have Lowry, Dragic, Flynn. lin is an ideal 3rd string guard but we have flynn, who is clearly the better player.

    They both aren't that good

We already have Dragic and Lowry set as the 1-2 punch, I want Lin as third because I don't enjoy watching Flynn dribble for 20 seconds

Thank you. Lin played well in limited minutes. That's the problem. It's hard to give the nod to Lin when he's barley played and when he has, it's preseason garbage time. Say what you want about Flynn but the team has played well when he was on the floor.

I hate when people put those numbers up, if you watched the game it should be obvious. Flynn took us out of the game and Lin brought us back. Flynn played with the second unit, Lin played with guys who won't be on the roster. That's why the team did better with Flynn, had nothing to do with anything he did on the court.
