They shouldn't be props, but obviously they are, and obviously some people support that. It seems that @AroundTheWorld is one of the people that do support it.

They are not being dropped off in Afghanistan, are they? Or do you think that California will not take good care of them?

I don't think DeSantis needs to explain anything to you.
As a Floridian who pays taxes, he doesn't need to explain this to me.

Why doesn't he owe me an explanation? I have a right to know why I am paying to human traffick migrants from Texas to California.

Frankly the man should be thrown in prison for that.

It's not human trafficking if they want to go there, by definition. And Newsom has made grandiose claims of California being a sanctuary state. He believes in the power of diversity. So everyone gets what they want.

State lines are being crossed. Feds might get involved.

DeSantis might just bought himself a DoJ investigation. DeSantis might be proving his right wingnut creds and keeping up the Trumps. the top two R POTUS candidates could be in angle braces heading into the R convention.

What a time to be alive.

Bussing migrants to places that need work and can support them isn't a bad idea. Making it a stunt with high profile locations in order to rack up max ownage points isn't my idea of a presidential candidate.

Everyone deserves better than this circus act.

You make an even more ridiculous statement everyday on this bbs.

So it's not human trafficking if I go down to Mexico and bring back a bunch of people seeking asylum in the United States since they wanted to come here anyway?!?!?

Mules in Mexico will love your "definition" but I'm 100% certain the US government and border patrol will see it differently.

Between trafficking and Disney, DeSantis shows a pattern of abusing the powers of his office. The sad thing is, if he's going to get the respect of the MAGA crowd, he has to do more of it.

If it happens with their consent, it's people smuggling, but not human trafficking.

You are free to be outraged, but in the time you typed up your rant, you could have simply used Google and Wikipedia.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_trafficking

Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labour, sexual slavery, or commercial sexual exploitation.[1] Human trafficking can occur within a country or trans-nationally. It is distinct from people smuggling, which is characterized by the consent of the person being smuggled.

    -----

So, unless you think that dropping them off in California means the chances of them being sexually exploited go up, this simply does not fit the definition of human trafficking.

Of course, you will never admit that you were simply wrong.

You’d rather argue semantics and literal definition adherence to try to score a point… than admit your racist role model is wrong for exploiting asylum seekers for political gain.

If you go strictly by the definitely then I’m wrong. I would argue that exploitation for political purposes would fall under the human trafficking definition. It’s asinine to think human trafficking is ONLY for forced labor or sexual slavery.

So hurray! Point for you and your dictionary work.

You’re still on the same side as the fascists and neo-Nazis. What a bunch of bigots and losers lead by Trump and DeSantis and supported by YOU!
