To be honest I don't really see anything wrong with it. He didn't fall down after it, he stuck to his man and kept playing defense. It was natural reflex when somebody swings their elbow at you for you to dodge it. I'd probably add that it was a good call from the ref as well. Even though the elbow didn't connect it was still a dangerous play. Knowing Matt Barnes, he probably intended to land that elbow on him.
I call BS. If you look closely, he flings his head back like a lil b!tch. If it was a purely reactionary thing, he would have moved his head back while continuing to look at Barnes. And then on top of that, he raises his hands like a soccer player flopping and crying to the ref afterwards.
i think he just reacted to the possible elbow and tried to move his head out the way...he raised his arms to protest the elbow swing alone...players have been given techs for swinging without contact before, so he had reason to protest.
Even if the elbow connected that is a no-call, a player should be able to have the ball in his hands and move it. That's how it used to be. It's actually a defensive foul because there's no reason to move your head so close.
I was sitting about 10 rows up and from my angle it definitely looked like he hit him, lol not even close
I can't believe people don't see that Barnes nearly killed Rudy, he should be charged for attempted homicide.
NBA has become wayyy too soft. You are supposed to swing through if someone is crowding you like that..cant believe he got a tech for that. And its not Rudy's fault, its that the refs have gotten pretty terrible over the last few years.
It's a natural reaction to snap your head back when you see an elbow swinging, but he exaggerated it a bit.
