The issue is that this administration has lost all credibility so even if this is with the best intent, people automatically are wondering what their angle is (tobacco lobby, etc.). I’m okay with more FDA regulations to ensure more safe products before they hit the market, but full on bans seem silly. Very “Get off my lawn” type of rollout of this ban too. Trump being the one to hold a press conference on it yesterday (which turned into typical Trump grievances) didn’t help public perception of the point they were trying to make.
Can't really do the this side vs. that side discussion format of this subforum, but just chiming in with my very short experience with this stuff. I am certain vaping is bad bad bad, worse than actual smoke somehow, to me. And IK the science does not back that up. Maybe I'm just super sensitive to whatever just the base suspension liquid is in there, and just the liquid part of it would have the same effect. Wrong for me. Couldn't say whether that's so for others, much less whether or not to ban it.
Watch this vaping nicotine is safe. Vaping THC is safe -- buying bootleg vape tanks on the streets is not safe.
Maybe he isnt a vaping expert and learning the details like the rest of us. The media hasn't been clear on the problem has neen these bootlegs
As President, he should have consulted with the vaping experts before calling the press to announce a vaping ban
