If we had Ariza and Moute now we would be better but still would be losing some of these games. The league is changing.
Hopefully Morey and MDA can find an explanation for this. 74 points allowed to the Mavericks in just one half, amazing. If Morey does not make big changes the season is over. And if he can not find a way to improve this disaster, I think it's time for us to start looking for someone who can. We have lost shamefully with the worst teams in the league.
Yes. This isnt just about losing Ariza and Moute - Ariza was declining and letting him go was not a bad decision. Moute was a bad loss, but let's not pretend he was the engine that made this team go or something. Ennis wasnt a far-off exchange. What has occurred is that the rest of the conference has improved a lot - through the draft, FA acquisitions, and adjusting their style of play. MCW is an awkward player who honestly seems to be better suited for the G League. Hartenstein has developed, but he is clumsy on the court and lacks in lateral quickness. PJ Tucker is what he is - great heart, very good 3 point shooting, but ultimately undersized. Combine a huge decline in bench strength with a team that relies far too much on JH/CP3 Iso play and a decline in 3-pt shooting, and with an improved league we have what we have in front of us. I am not confident that this will be corrected, but I am confident that Morey will make a significant move before the trade deadline to try and right the ship.
