The issue isn’t the reffing, it’s the constant whining after every play. As a former coach, I’ve seen this time and time again. If you are riding the ref the entire game and just hammering him every time you think he missed a call he’s less likely to give you a toss up call towards the end. I’ve used this to my advantage and won a game by just letting the ref work while the other coach tore him a new one the entire game. Lots of calls went my way towards the game.
well what do ya know. all the backlash and talk across the league and the rockets get the one who they just happen to hate the most in the very next game. FOH
first part you might be right second part though, silver is not backing down no way. also foster is going to ref us exactly the same way he always has. that is just his recalcitrant nature

umm there comes a time where you absolutely have to speak up. when things are just blatant, and when it just becomes pointless to play is where it just gets unacceptable. The players are playing, not the refs. As Harden says, just call the call how its supposed to be and they'll live with the results. people using the whining after every play is just a pure gimmick
Foster is very good at throwing the Rockets a bone before screwing them over later in the game. He got Klay in foul trouble in Game 7 last year and then swallowed the whistle once the Rockets built that big first half lead. Refs are skilled at this crap. It's like when one team has shot 20 more free throws than the other and is comfortably ahead. Suddenly you'll see the disadvantaged team start to get to the line near the end to artificially close that gap a little.
Forget all of this. The idea that the refs let the Warriors get away with stuff because the Rockets complain too much is a joke. The Warriors fight with the refs non-stop. Their superstar literally ran up the court pointing and laughing at a referee lol. They scream at them all the time. Klay threw tantrums after each foul call last game DESPITE being allowed to get away with 4 undercuts. Draymond spits in their face when he talks. Kerr passively aggressively shanks them in the media. It's non-stop with the Warriors. The idea that they do something less egregious with the refs than the Rockets is hilarious.
And this is just pathetic. Why can't a ref just call fouls? Why does he need to politicked to get a call at the end of the game? It's not like these fouls can be considered subjective.
