Back in the building Brian. Looking forward the offseason ahead. Everyone's gonna work hard, get better & attack this thing in 2020. Very excited to lead this football team and group of men. Good group, fun guys to coach.
Mother****er? *******? Damn Brian! https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...ed-to-show-Bill-O-Brien-the-door-14970119.php Look at this: 30-0 Chiefs in Houston during the 2015 playoffs. 21-7 Colts — it started as 21-0 and the Texans booed off the field — at home during the 2018 playoffs. 16-0 Buffalo late in the third quarter at home last weekend, which required an overtime miracle from Watson. 51-31 Chiefs on Sunday, as the Texans gave up 28 second-quarter points and 23 more in the second half. Find another NFL team that would proudly and publicly back its HC/GM/OC after that (bleep). Never mind. There isn’t one. Only the Texans. Only McNair’s franchise, despite having DeAndre Hopkins and J.J. Watt in their primes.
I loved when he said after the game "24-0 was a good lead, no doubt..." It's almost like he was wondering how he F'd that up.
I know people are rightly sick of Jim Rome, but I loved on his show this morning when he kept playing a sound bite of BoB saying "we're headed in the right direction."
Boggles my mind that this monument to mediocrity has the power and job security he does. Texans ownership basically has a happy to be here mentality as long as the team is competitive, which is going to to keep us being league also rans. The only defense to staying competitive was that maybe things break your way and you can sneak through the playoffs. Well that's exactly what happened this season and we got humiliated in the 2nd round like usual.
LOL What is he gonna say? Spin! "Hey, we went 10-6, won our division, won a playoff game and were even up 24-0 in another one! Billy has won his division 4 of the 6 years here. His players like him & play hard for him. Did you hear Deshaun after the game? We're on the right track."
The Texans can only hope they can br as successful as those teams during BOB's time here. If the Texans manage to get killed in the Super bowl next year because Maholmes, Lamar Jackson, Derek Henry, Big Ben and Brady all suffered season ending injuries, BOB will become the GM and President of Football Operations for life.
Pretty much. It's about making a good enough team to fill seats. Money is more important. The Texans' ownership needs to prove otherwise this off-season. They don't want to fire Bill O'Brien? Fine, don't let him make all the decisions and don't let him call the plays. Get a new offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator. Spend some money on the offensive line. Do something that gets me excited about this team. Rather than make me pissed off, sad, embarrassed, etc.
