And? Don't think I want nothing less than a Super Bowl, because anything less is just like a million other seasons. Losing in the playoffs is nothing to get excited about. Lately, our team's lack of discipline, preparation, skill,a and effort makes me question even making the playoffs. These next 3 games might be a completely different team with Fuller. We have to have a better game plan without him though, because he is Mr. Mendingmyinjuries.
I think "average" is a perfectly acceptable conclusion to draw about BO'B. I think he's *above* average - but not great. But any talk of him being significantly below average - which is what fuels most of the dialogue around him - is just flat-out indefensible.
Here... you answered your own question: By saying "Lately..." you very obviously mean "last Sunday" because the two games prior to the Bronco game did not feature a team lacking discipline, preparation, skill and/or effort. Thus my need to remind you they play more than the two games you want to focus on because they confirm your bias. They're 19-10 since the start of 2017. That's a 10-11-win pace.
I think they are "load managing" Fuller to have him ready for Tennessee. BO'B probably thought he could steal a week of rest for him against the Broncos....just my $0.02
Jason Garrett will soon be available! It's quite telling that some Texans' fans I've talked to would actually welcome that 'trade'. I don't know that any other team in the NFL would.
I understand that, but our defense has really taken a turn for the worse. Remember when our defense was great and our QB bad? Now it's the other way around.
I think that will continue to be the case, the Texans are going to be very expensive on offense, and will need to save money on D and supplement that side with rookie contracts and "affordable" FA options. So the pendulum has clearly swung in the other direction.
Wasn't saying they should be. The point being that not only is there a similarly bad team leading a division at some time in NFL history, but there is another one right now, this season.
Wow, so true. Great point. Let's hope we stay on top and they don't. I would love to see the Cowboys miss the playoffs this year.
he mortgaged 2 future drafts to accomplish this. Not impressed with that sort of unsustainable blueprint especially since it won't even lead to a championship, not even close
There's a solid chance that we lose out on making the playoffs, and if that occurs then you almost have to fire BoB. He beat up on a flawed Patriots team and an injured Chiefs team (still impressive win), outside of those two wins there hasn't been anything impressive. I fully expect the Texans to miss the playoffs, and then we'll see if Cal has a spine to fire BoB.
I said it in the game thread before the game; the Texans always beat a team they're not supposed to beat (Chiefs, Patriots) and lose to a team they're not supposed to lose to (Broncos). Not sure where to put the Titans. Chances are they probably split the series.
