This is true...at the same time Good Coaches win close games being decided by a few points...bad one's don't.
Same core players. Different coach, who although he is the ex assistant, has clearly changed some things....yet same results. But it's the coach though...
I do get it...think about it. Last year, Brewer was going from a terrible situation in MIN and was traded here. One of those conditions was that he had to decline his player option after that season and go into FA. He played motivated, had a chip on his shoulder, and his productivity on a WCF team was appreciated by fans. In short, Morey has fallen for the "contract year" players trap. Pattern: Player X is in contract year, plays his ass off far above career production level, is given a new deal, and goes right back to playing like crap once new contract is signed. That is what happened to Brewer and why fans despise him now.
At least, if the organization does not care about outside perceptions, they could promote Chris Finch, and give the team a real shot at gaining momentum to pull a possible upset in the playoffs at the time. The organization may be too cognitive of outside perceptions to do so though, being that they would have done something out of the ordinary, and the rest of the league may give them a hard time, but I say hey, what do you have to lose at the moment.
Agree with you on this... The mindset of the team has to change along with the system and personnel.. T_Man
The team has a lot of issues, but it starts with the coach. No matter the profanity and all - but it should be painfully obvious that this coach and the entire coaching staff are not getting it done. In fact, it should have been painfully obvious from the start.
Brewer was 0-7, and Howard was 3-4. Allow that to really steep and sink in. And least 1 of Howard's 3 made attempts was a really nice post up where he created his own shot after getting fed. And they had no one physical enough to guard him.
I really don't know how much should have been expected out of a rookie coach with this roster and the obvious chemistry issues we have. On a positive note it was good to see Dwight and Harden's obvious dislike for one another on full display last night. Loved Dwight refusing to pass Harden the ball a couple times. I can't believe these were the two guys that were supposed to LEAD us in the "Pursuit".
its not about jb being an interim hc. i expect the bare minimum of him and he cant even do that. all season long he sticks with a rotation that doesnt work well and refuses to change it despite having several other options. he's playing brewer cuz they're buddies, and terry cuz he's a vet. not cuz they deserve it. it would make some sense to play brewer before the deadline to see fi there's anyone crazy enough to trade for him. but thats long gone. he's not only shown an incompetence in his rotations but basic basketball iq. it looks like he's only in the nba cuz of he's daddy little boy
Good coaching can get more out of the same personnel. JBB is not a good coach, and neither way McHale. A good coach would NEVER play Corey Brewer so much, a good coach would only use Jason Terry in emergency situations. A good coach would sit players when they are not hustling no matter who they are.... A GOOD COACH with accountability would have this team in the top 3 or 4 in the Western Conference. COACHING MATTERS A ****ING WHOLE LOT!!! Unless you have a ****ty one, well even then it matters because this is what you get when you undervalue coaching and listen to the calculator instead of basketball people. DD

Man this guy is pathetic. I was ecstatic because, stupid me, I actually thought Dmo would be coming off the bench. Instead Brewer still gets minutes after he gives us absolutely nothing. Man this sh i t is infuriating.
