Good. But you have to feel kind of bad for the athletes that are paying for what other players did before them.
It's about time. But the NCAA actually came down with a harsher punishment than I thought they would hand out, you usually see a slap on the wrist when it comes to big time programs like USC. As far as Pete Carroll, pretty unbelievable how the head coach can simply walk away from all this while his recruits, fellow coaches, and pretty much the entire university suffer the punishment. I know there isn't a whole lot they can do but they're pretty much letting one of the guilty parties walk away scott free.
I also think the timing of this could be pretty significant if Texas and Oklahoma merge into the same conference as USC. It will be tougher for USC to bounce back if they have a few mediocre seasons and other major teams pilfer their recruits while they are on probation.
yea, except for the fact that they have been getting handouts too...... We are talking about USC here
I've been smiling all day I was hoping for a 5 year bowl ban myself I also heard their only national title (in the carroll era) may be forfeited as well
took long enough. if the NFL took this long for investigation, Brian Cushing would be ready to retire
It's almost like karma for him. Seems like he was doing the same thing to Tennessee...breaking rules and then bailing as fast as he could.
30 scholarships gone. All wins from December 2004 (including BCS title game) through entire 2005 season vacated. All Bush statistics in those games erased from NCAA records. That's a shame.
