The ESPN Ryan Bowen article got me a few years back... I remember my roommate showing me that. That was the best practical joke that could have ever been played on a Rockets fan... People talk about Battier's intangibles not being enough... But Ryan Bowen is horrible. To me, even his intangible suck.
I couldn't believe people fell for the Ryan Bowen joke. That was way to obvious it was fake. Boy was I wrong that not many fell for it.
The only one that ever got me was the first one I read... "Rudy T to leave to coach Michigan" It was a great one. Not sure what year it was, but I was still using dial-up via AOL and lurking
I saw this one coming, but I read the dream shake's thing about boozer this morning in google reader and was pissed off for about 45 minutes before i realized what was up.
i fell for the hakeem one last year because of the fake espn report. This years was wayyyyy too obvious. Seems like everyone tried to make an april fools joke
so did i. i went to the computer lab in our science building since a had a break in between classes and decided to attempt to find out what the joke was and i LOLed and everyone was lookin at me like wtf is so funny. that was awesome
I fell hook, line, and sinker for last year's April Fool edition when they said Olajuwon had signed with the Rockets for the remainder of the season. That was very, very cruel. But funny as hell
Does anyone have that link with all the past April fools jokes since clutchcity.com? I remember seeing one a couple years ago...Thanks
The one that got me was when the front page claimed that Yao Ming had been hurt in practice and was out for the season. I think that was TMac's first year. Sadly, that one came true a couple of times.
That got me. This one seemed pretty obvious but still very funny. I was hoping the prank would be "Jerry Sloan to be Rockets' Coach"
