<iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SuHmEo0Bx7Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> A teaser for a Super Bowl commercial. Man, the 80's kid inside of me hopes they turn this into a movie. I hope Mia Sara and Alan Ruck make appearances in the commercial.
OK...(I know this will be a commercial, but...) is this also a possible measuring stick of how much interest a sequel movie would generate? Initially, I don't think I'd like to see another movie...but if done properly with a decent director and applicable storyline, they might be able to pull it off. The commercial is a fun starting point.
Even though I knew it would be an ad, I'm still disappointed. Hope they end up making this a film soon.
I've always thought that there was ample interest in a sequel and plenty of opportunities to milk some more laughs from these characters. I kinda expected one much earlier than this (maybe Ferris taking a day off from college?). Now that the teenagers who were fans of the original are the parents/working class of today, the "playing hooky" fantasy could be explored in totally new directions with, I bet, hilarious results. But you're right: the director (and a really good script) would make or break this movie. John Hughes is a tough act to follow. Plus a large portion of the original cast is sill around and would be available on the cheap.
This guy is correct. They pretty much coppied the backbone of the story. Sad times we are in. Like speghettios?...... Speghettios with meat......
I think the principle in the original was blackballed because of a child p*rn conviction. It makes it creepier when watching ferris bueller again.
