Can't help but think Udoh and Aldrich won't be drafted that high. Whiteside? Seems like a young semi-knucklehead, not Morey's type of player.
Yep. Which should have taught Morey a lesson. I remember a game last year, the game was decided (blowout, can't remember which team was getting ripped, I think we were), Dorsey and other guys standing in front of the bench. Adelman was calling for Dorsey to get into the game, but Dorsey was too busy talking and yucking it up with one of the other bench dudes. Adelman could NOT get the dude's attention, had to lean over to tap Dorsey on the arm or something like that. You'd think a guy desperate for playing time might pretend to be interested in his job. Then, when he got to the Kings, same stuff, too much of a distraction to his teammates (I'm paraphrasing, but I'm pretty sure that was the deal). And...bye bye!, he gets cut. With Whiteside, who knows. Maybe his odd approach to workouts is all an elaborate scheme so the Rockets can draft him, but somehow I'm doubting it, since millions of dollars are at stake, especially in this, the last year of the current CBA.
We predicted Donte Greene would go to the rockets if available so who knows what Morey will do. I know they have done way more scouting than any of us so there is a really good chance we'll come away with a nice player.
the rockets never drafted anyone who the mock drafts have selected for them since yao. any name associated with the rockets prior to the draft can be scratched off the list of possibilities.
I also remember a couple of mocks that had us pick up Nicolas Batum, which we did, even though he was traded. I'm praying for Paul George, put the ball in his hands and watch him go to work.
"What you're going to have is two different types of players who will be there," Dumars said. "Kind of the mature guys who have a body of work that you've seen who are going to be extremely professional, the type of guys you want to add to your team. And you're going to have some really talented young guys that have a tremendous amount of upside, but maybe not as much of a body of work. According to a handful of internet reports Tuesday, Georgetown forward Greg Monroe is expected to work out for the Pistons on Wednesday and Kansas guard Xavier Henry is scheduled to work out Friday, but Dumars said Tuesday night neither is coming in this week. http://www.mlive.com/pistons/index.ssf/2010/06/pistons_to_hold_individual_wor.html
