I would feel great for my ears, since I dont' like either as commentators.
I would feel bad for the Rockets.

Besides who says that Jackson will accept not being the boss/ head priest of the team?

As an assistant, I'd have no issues with it at all. One of the biggest, and most fireable offenses of the Bickerstaff regime is their inability to prepare our players for big moments. You need veteran leaders both on the court, and on the coaching staff to maintain poise in critical situations.

Maybe JVG is just trying to be politically correct and not express sour grapes toward the organization - esp given his position as an analyst...

Maybe JVG had hard feelings and he's gotten over them...

Maybe JVG does dislike Les - but is willing to suck it up for the payday...

    who knows....

I hope JVG returns and if he does I wouldn't knock cyber for his intel...

Or his info is coming from Les's people... Les does not want a return to JVG's offense?

JVG has always been incredibly positive about the Rockets in his commentary - he's like a homer. You have to think he wants back in.

I'm not buying this. Even if he does want to come here, he would never admit it while we still have a coach. He's always said he wouldn't even talk about a job that's already taken.

I don't think interim head coach with the open and clear understanding (since the McHale firing) that the position would be reevaluated this summer qualifies.

cyberx gives us good info at the time he receives it. It doesn't mean things don't change. They do. That doesn't make him wrong. The closest possible insider (the coach, the GM) can only give you a snapshot of what's true that day. Things always change.

I would be happy with JVG. Would be good to have an extremely competent offensive coordinator as well.

    Coach: JVG
    Assistant coaches: Battier, Cassell, Elie

    I'd like that.

No thanks. I will never forget how JVG got completely outcoached by Avery Johnson in that Mavs series.

I'd much rather see the Rockets hire Avery Johnson. Would it be possible to lure him away from University of Alabama?

I have a feeling it wouldn't be hard to lure anybody away from the university of Alabama hoops program

If its JVG, we're bringing back DMo. JVG needs a back to the basket post player to run his offense through. Yao will come back and be an assistant, ala Ewing. Hooray! We get Yao back in some capacity; he will also handle all postgame and halftime interviews. #winning

From a fan standpoint, would be awesome to see Battier

I think JVG is at the point in his life he is not going to move for another job. So the Rockets job is probably the only viable option if he want to coach again.
