Budenholzer's contract was 6 million for three years. It is up. Imo he deserves a big raise, guess we will see what happens. If I were the Rockets, I'd be very interested.

Absolutely, he should be first, second and even third in our list if available.

Rockets gonna end up with MDA. They are taking to long and Kerr already made his pitch to Silas

I would be very surprised if it was for the head coach position. Terry Stotts is a fantastic head coach.

If it was for their HC spot, I'd take Stott in a heartbeat. But I think he just got paid.

Ok this should convince the stinking Rockets organization that Stephen Silas is a well respected assistant around the league and they should waste no more time on this and hire Stephen Silas right away!

Never assume the Rockets will operate the way they should or are supposed to. Never assume the Rockets will not screw something up. Never.

haha that's what I was thinking, only I took it a step further. What if Silas went elsewhere, the Rockets then decided to go with MDA, who then feels disrespected and turns them down

On a (hopefully) more serious note: Anyone know anything about when they are going to make their final decision. Weren't some reports saying that a decision would be made this week?

The longer this goes, the more Im thinking there is some "dark horse" candidate. Reminds too much of the trade deadline each year. We debate on this site forever, only to have something come from virtually nowhere.

Would love to get Budenholzer but I don't understand why there's zero talk of him changing teams. I assume it must mean he's confident in staying.

Yes, you are correct. Stotts has gotten a 3 year extension as the HC for the Blazers. He deserves it. A big reason for Portland's victory over us, was because of his far superior coaching compared to McHale.
