The problem is that winning a title is hard. So sometimes all it takes is the one bad break after several good ones and your chance is gone.

I am pretty good at guessing at certain things. Losing Chandler for nothing was 100% unexpected. Think about the players we could have gotten for him and you guys are going to demand Morey's head on a platter.

Well, folks. I suggest that you do not buy any player's jersey. Chances are, they won't be here for more than a year.

Looking forward to another year of asset shuffling, revolving door roster, flux, or whatever you want to call it. I predict half of the rotation won't be on the team when 2015-16 season begins.

Morey said that they had offers near the deadline to make some dramatic moves and he declined just to see where Howard/Harden/Parsons would take the team... first round exit vs. an inferior team with HCA.

I'd much rather parlay that cap space and/or TPEs for:

    Millsap + Ariza > Parsons
    and so is
    Bledsoe/Dragic/Augustin + Ariza > Parsons

    You're saying that:

    Love > Parsons
    or maybe
    Rondo > Parsons

...and that may be true too, but that's assuming that other teams wouldn't have more attractive offers than ours and that those players would even consent to extensions with us once traded... Would Parsons agree to an extension with Minny or Boston? Plus, what assets besides Parsons would be in those blockbuster deals? A lot of variables still in play...

Philly didn't take Lin. Thad will be hard to obtain.

The Wolves already have better deals on the table then what we can offer.

The trading for a star is not on the table. It is a season this roster and maybe Rondo signs.

But that is not possible. There must be some reason/excuses why all these things are happening. Morey is a genius, right?

You cannot blame Morey for banking on Bosh, but you can blame him for:

    A) letting Parsons go before you have a sense of what he's going to ask for and what is possibly going to be thrown at him in a worst case scenario. His moves since the offer sheet show he was not prepared.
    B) basically telling us we could not be a contender with Parsons? That's because you didn't make moves Morey! We could've had a combination of Ariza and or Stephenson + Frye / Hawes + Morrow / Miller and some others along with Parsons.
    C) failing to have the guts to make us contenders and not convincing that cheap owner we are contenders. In other words, telling us we are not going to be better than last year and pissing off Howard in the process.

This article makes the non-signing of Parsons even worse.

Morey keeps on pretending until he can actually contend

So have we taken one step forward and landed three steps back? We have no depth in our bench and our 4 spot is still as shaky as it was last year. We made a minor lateral movement with Trevor Ariza.

EVERYBODY JUST NEEDS TO STOP PANICKING!!

The only thing this means is that you have to adjust the way you play now.
We will have to play more like that team that played of off Howard in the
Playoffs. Heck I think we should have played that way from the start but
We had too much going on around the perimeter with Parson, Lin, and Harden
All trying to be playmakers and not playing D.

We have to focus on defense and guys who fit Howard andHarden to be
A more balanced team(see Spurs model).

Ariza fits just right, go get Daniels back, let T Jones
And D Mo have their chance or use them as assets for a more ready now pf
which I know Morey will if the opportunity presents. Try to get a
PG like J Nelson or Ridnour on decent contracts, we dont need another scoring
PG like Bayless or Sessions we might as well see Cannan take that role. Try to
Get a Wes Johnson for more wing depth and small ball 4. The hardest hit we took
Was losing Asik, maybe we overpay J Oneal for a 1 year contract.

Next year or at trade deadline go hard at a P. Milsap and Dragic with our cap space
    And assets( N.O. pick)

A very sensible post, which should be directed to Morey and Les. I am not sure if they will consider any of these moves.
