    I agree, and I've seen NOTHING online that indicates that he had any surgery. If so, I can't imagine that this (shoulder dislocation) won't become a chronic issue. I doubt that conservative (i.e. non-surgical) treatment will create a lasting solution to the problem of loose ligaments and tendons. I wouldn't give him a contract offer without a really good physical exam of that shoulder.

    Luc is a better overall defender, and it’s not really that close. top 3-5 wing defenders in the league IMO

    I'm no doctor but I've dislocated the same shoulder 3-4 times playing basketball when I was younger. Couldn't afford to get surgery on it and the lack of 100% control and "feel" still lingers a decade later.

    he hasn't generated a lot of hype and didn't play heavy minutes for us this season. both analytically (#1 two-man duo in the league in +/- w harden) and eye test wise, he was an elite defender and solid offensive contributor.

    don't take my word for it though...

    I get that Morey is trying to save the MLE and there are always concerns about the luxury tax(not to mention Luc's shoulder). But if the Rockets let him walk, they're not serious about winning a title. I know he sucked in the playoffs, but his impact during the regular season was huge. Plus we just lost Ariza and are trying to replace him with Melo who is the polar opposite type of player. We need Luc.

    This news plus the reports of Capela being lowballed have me worried that the Rockets under Tilman are going to be operating under a very tight budget.
