Considering how McHale has rewarded hard work this season, Lowry only gets back in if he can prove he can handle it. If he's willing to bench Martin, he'll do the same with Lowry if he's not producing results.

Next years plan of course...which means we would have to resign them both, which I hope we can do, sign them to Lowry's contract(around there)

It strongly depends on the matchup.

For instance, against somebody like Oklahoma City (who has a weak group of SGs) then I think you could definitely start Goran Dragic at the 2 spot.

Against the Lakers or San Antonio? No chance in hell.

I like that about Mchale, he doesn't care if you were the starting player if you don't produce you don't play. Very different from the previous regime.

Huh? Why would Lowry lose his starting spot? He was playing at a high level before he got sick. It'd be one thing if Lowry was stinking it up, but he wasn't. Yeah, Dragic is playing great and deserves playing time but there is no difference. Lowry took Aaron's job because Brooks sucked. Lowry wasn't sucking before he got sick. I think many of you have forgotten how good Lowry is and was during the first part of the season.

Same thing goes for Martin. He might have been struggling before sitting out but we are a better team with him than without. Some of you people have ADD or something. Lay off the rugs.

I remember how good Lowry is and was, i'm actually in the camp that would rather keep Lowry and let Dragic walk.

But he's not in game shape yet & to bench Dragic while he's on a roll can be detrimental to the chemistry and our playoff chances. Let Lowry work his way back in, don't throw all this pressure on him(and yes, there's a ton of it) by putting him back into the starting lineup.

Put it this way, if he goes back into the lineup right away and stinks up the joint because he's not 100% yet, and Dragic goes into a funk coming off the bench, we miss out on the playoffs.

I think Lowry should get his starting job back but he has to come off the bench until he's back in game shape.

The starters have too much chemistry to be messing the lineup right now. Lee plays much better with Dragic than he does with Lowry. Bring Lowry off the bench and hopefully his ego won't be too hurt.

Honstly though this may bite us in the butt. Goran is playing out of this world and bringing Lowry back to take some of his minutes might disrupt that.

Did you forget about this guy?

Not to mention, Westbrook is almost an SG himself...

Why is nobody more excited about this, this is great news. I hope they will wait with his return though, better let him comfortable in Houston then quickly during this road trip.

Since it wasn't an injury, I think he should get right back into things pretty quick!

Best PG duo in the league baby!!

Unlike many injuries, he had a long period where he was allowed to do zero physical activity. No swimming, no bike riding, nothing. He also said straight-up, he didn't eat for 6 days.

I think for that reason, it will actually take him longer to get up to speed in the sense of getting back into the kind of shape where he can play heavy minutes or for more than a few minutes at a time.

On the plus side, it means there are no long term issues to worry about and there should be no negative effect on his shooting or anything.

However, I don't see any reason against him playing a few minutes in the first half, a few minutes in the second half Sunday, assuming he's cleared by the doctors.

Whatever works. This ain't like Brooks-Lowry where one had a game wasn't all-round. Either of them working out is fine.

No, and this does not begin it. Now, when returned to full health and reincorporated, maybe...

And after the season's conclusion? Oh, yeah.

Now, what conversations have DM the GM and GD AgentMan had? Hmm, thoise I'd love to know.

Lee and Dragic are close to the same size. Also, given that Lee did not defend Kobe, not sure why Dragic would do a worse job not defending Kobe.

People need to remember that the current starting SG ain't that big.

I'd say the opposite. He's fast, always pushing the ball, knows where to pass, can pull up and hit the jumper, not too bad on D. He had one bad game.

Goran has a 6'7 wing span so guarding and scoring against most 2w will not be problem. Also Goran is excellent off the ball.

The only ego we need to worry about is Goran's. Martin , and Lowry are both under contract and Lee is a restricted free agent. Goran however is a unrestricted free agent and if we piss him off due to lack of playing time he can bolt for any amount he wants and there is nothing we can do about it.

If we keep him happy and he resigns we can Flip him later ala what denver did with Nene and some value back.

I have heard morey say on multiple occasions how much he values Goran and this was in preseason before he was even starting. So more then likely if we resign him we will keep him.
