House is playing better than him too and has more size. Ego is having a negative impact on both ends and has been most of the year. I'm still hoping it works but I just don't see it.

We have tried it the whole year and it hasn't worked. We played better when he was out injured.

But if he can rebound back to his previous form, EGo adds another weapon to Rockets offense.

His upside as gamechanger is higher than House's so I see no negative in giving him opportunities in practices and scrimmages.

    Low risk, high reward.

House has not looked good at all. Dude just isn’t a long term starter. That’s been clear for a long time. Also apparent he hasn’t stood out in the restart process either as there’s been no mention of him. Which is obvious. People keep wishing house turns into this big time wing player. That’s not happening

It's a high risk in games that count. He has been so bad this year it feels playing with fire everytime he comes in the game. I like Ego and I'm rooting for him but if he can't get it going soon we have to give other players more minutes in his spot. Things just seem better on both ends when he isn't playing.

If EGo cant go, BMac is ready.

His shooting form is work of art.

Are there any stats to back this up?

I should say up front, I'm just curious about which stat might be calculating this so stupidly. I have no doubt in my mind that if we, for example, needed to guard Steph Curry in a playoff game, I would take Eric Gordon 9 times out of 10 over House. I'm certain Curry would prefer House.

Gordon has been bad for most of the past 2 years. That's not the Gordon that MDA is expecting in this line up. If he doesn't perform, House just replaces him. Very simple. You seem to be questioning why MDA is inserting the worst version of Gordon into the line up, which isn't exactly the full context of this move.

I'm sure Gordon will perform. I'm more sure he'll perform now than he will next regular season. He's a lazy regular season player, I hope we get rid of him after the playoffs, the price tag is too hefty.

If he'lll always perform in the playoffs, then whats wrong with keeping him? Like I'm not expecting all time bad levels of him in the coming seasons?

Because a team that operates at a financial handicap - aka Tilman Fertita - we cannot afford to have $16m locked up in a guy who only shows up for the playoffs. I bet you're looking around at other contenders and thinking they do it all the time.

Yeah. Not us. We always have to do more with less.

The only thing that matters for this team is the playoffs. We've had multiple injuries and lineup changes. Gordon's upside is much more valuable than anyone we can trade for imo. If he performs in the playoffs, I doubt Tillman will want him outta here. That's prolly how he got the contract to begin with.

House as the back up big seems to be working out well.

    Eric Gordon got injured...
This is/was his time to make himself asset versus being a liability. His limited trade value just worsened. We don’t have any sweetener left because of over pays and straight out dumping of contacts to stay under the cap. This a ankle injury will be bigger or as big as the hamstring injury of CP3. No chance at championship. We are now locked into Gordon long term because we can’t move his contract. Which will block any chance of any helping cast around Harden / Westbrook. We are in a really bad place—> signed Chicken Little.

    Normally 2 weeks.

The seeding games are wrapped up in 2 weeks.

Still not seeing it, I rather go big, but that would go against the image of us and the "plan." Jeff Green needs to start, plain and simple. Roco is a natural 3, Tucker is a 3/4 and Green is a 4/5. You can scream positionless basketball all you want but size and skill set matters. It's not just about throwing a big out there, which some might claim about my harping on Green starting, it's about Tucker coming up short literally and being a bad rebounding team when we go small. This way you also free up time for Luc off the bench with a bigger wing in House alongside Rivers & EGO as the 1 and 2.
