I mean they had kind of run out of 1st round picks to trade at that point. OKC got a first from Denver for him. That's a late first, sure, but it's next year. So they didn't really miss him... they had no opportunity to get him.

Yea but he can become a free agent after this season. We would have had to give up another pick and figure out to pay whatever a long, switchable, 3 point shooting wing commands. I really like him too, but I Denver will lock him up. Coincidentally, Paul Millsap's 30 mil comes off the books after this season.
