Feels like Adelman is overacheiving with this team, with a $20 million roster hole

No one made this thread last year. Adelman did an even better job then with a $14 million roster hole, no Artest, no Wafer, no Barry, and Alston instead of Lowry. We ended up winning 55 games with a far less deep team.

That's funny because I'm praying for Billups/Nene/JR Smith at next year's trade deadline. All we need is for the Nugs to flame out again in the playoffs, fire Karl, start next season like crap and go into firesale mode.

Yeah, yeah, I know. A guy can dream.

    FAIL!

Our amazing play this season is not solely on the shoulders of Adelman keeping the ship steady. It's Daryl Morey who gave him a sturdy ship (and I killed the metaphor) in the first place. It is absolutely astounding how quickly he has replaced all the real scrubs that were on this team, and replaced them with players who could find playing time and likely start on any other team in the league, and this is important, cheaply.

There is no questoin, Daryl Morey is teh best GM in basketball. I look forward to seeing what magic he's able to conjur once that 20 million black hole is lifted, because the work he's done having to squeeze in players around that, is phenomenal.

1 star for calling Scola, Landry, Lowry, Battier, Barry, Wafer, and Chuck scrubs

+1. Scola is not a scrub, unless your "scrub" put up 19 and 17 against the Spurs, and average 12 and 9 a game  Landry is not a scrub, unless your "scrub" averages 9 and 5 in 21 mins of play. Deke and Barry are not "scrubs" either, unless you call one of the greatest defensive C's and a savvy vet as scrubs. The same goes for everyone on the roster except for Flight White, Dorsey and Cook. Cook is in fact a 3 million scrub, Dorsey and White haven't shown their stuff yet so are relegated to scrub status.

Do you know why we have the 2nd seed in the west despite having a 21 m hole in our salary? Its because most of our players our underpaid, and that's not on Adelman but on DM. RA may have done a great job last year, but this year he's done a poor to average job coaching this team IMHO. You only need to look at the chicken head cut off plays the team runs out of timeouts to see the fruits of RA's coaching this year

Well, if exchange Artest, Scola, Landry, Wafer, Lowry, Brooks, and BB, etc into Flying Bowen, Loser Head, 36-year-old David Wesly, Juwan Howard and Wetherspoon(right spelling?),
tell me now, HOW MUCH winning games can RA bring us ?

    TO BE HONEST, PLZ. :p

By the way, BOS Cletics win more games without the 20-mil-player named KG.

I do not have a problem with adelman, what i have a problem with is his boneheaded plays he draws coming out of timeout! There have been multiple instances where he has called a timeout late in the game and drew up a play and it looked like a pee-wee coach had drawn up after 17 seasons of coaching it's pretty bad, when it happens over and over again.

An example is the 1.0 left before halftime he called a timeout. not alot of time but he made a big deal to call a timeout and what happended?

Nobody even moved and battier throws and bounce pass 25 feet to a covered artest. that was pretty bad!

adelman is underachieving with this team, our team has more talent than any other nba team does. except yao and tmac, our other players are all under-paid.

I feel the talent on this squad is underrated, mostly because of the "grass is greener" syndrome. Also, several of the key role players (Scola, Landry, Wafer, Brooks) have not had any kind of success outside the Rockets, so it's more difficult for fans who are so obsessed with their various deficiencies to appreciate just how good these guys are compared to the rest of the league.

That said though, it really would be highway robbery for Adelman to not get COY consideration. He deserves to win it outright, with what he has succeeded in coaching this team through -- 17 different starting lineups, McGrady's injury and all the uncertainty that came with it, injuries to other major components like Artest and Battier, trading away the starting point guard midseason. He's not the only coach who has dealt with adversity, but none have had it as difficult as he has, and now his team is on track to actually win the toughest division in professional basketball.

Yao was in the first 10 wins during that incredible streak, i dont know why nobody would admit to that fact though.

He's was playing in a league in China where he was "the guy" but during the Christmas holidays decided he didn't like it (losing out on a few million). Pretty much a head case now, you would think a NBA team would take a flyer on him.

KG has returned to the games for days and you are stilll living in the past?

By the way, CHECK OUT the whole games the Boston has played without KG, not the last 10 games, plz. :p

and how is getting this kind of talent Adelman's fault?

these are the type of players JVG wanted in exchange for cato, mobley and francis + a whole bunch of dead weight from the NY coachig days.

These guys aren't scrubs...scrubs were the guys on the team a few years back...on that 2005 team that everyone likes to talk about as being so good.

Jon Barry, Wesley, MJ, Head - now those guys were scrubs.

What's the difference between a decent role player and a scrub?

HOW THE COACH USES/MOTIVATES HIM!!!! [In some case how the Star Players Uses/Motivates them]

This is why I *hate* the ole "BUT THEY HAD INFERIOR TALENT" Argument.
    SEE JVGOF AND TMACOFs . . . . .
IF JVG had these players. . . . IMO . . .they would not be as good . . PERIOD!
