lmao, sorry but did you even watch that season. we were as reliant as ever on Harden that season. Morris was jack shet, he was as mediocre and replaceable as they come. Parsons was improving on offense and stopped playing defense all together. Lin struggled playing along side Harden half of the time, and didn't really play defense either which was why he got benched for Beverley. Omer Asik was sulking all season because Dwight replaced him, he was like "injured" majority of time and asked to be traded. He contributed nothing that season. That lineup was just as flawed, we ran a lot, but our offense had no structure just like our offense now have no structure. We actually purely relied on Harden, which was why we got dicked in the playoffs by Portland because Harden got shut down by Matthews and stopped caring all together.
Y'all got your seasons all mixed up. That was the 2012-13 season. Dwight was a Laker. Remember, they traded Pat to the Kings for Thomas Robinson. Carl melted down. Remember? Then traded Robinson to Portland in the offseason for Dwight's cap space. That was not the Carmelo pursuit. That was the Dwight Howard pursuit. Omer Asik did not sulk that season. Dwight, again, was a Laker. That was not the Blazers playoff series. They played the Thunder the first round. You remember Delfino dunking on Durant? That was Harden's first season as a Rocket.
**** you are right, I'm a moron. that was the season that Carl Herrera broke down and never recovered. The portland season was 13-14 Then I am even more confused why this thread was made. We were like a 500 team that season.
We were an offensive team, but........we crushed a healthy Jazz team by 45 points (how often does that happen?) and the Warriors weren't a terrible team either but we owned them. It wasn't like we scored 120 but gave up 130. And we lost in the playoffs.....to a #1 seed.....but we didn't embarrass ourselves. It isn't that I'm saying that team was better than last year's team. It's more disappointment that we haven't come farther and we seem to have lost a lot of what made us good. This year, we are a worse team, and the future is much more bleak.
Are you trying to suggest the board get diapers because your sh#tty posts are all over our GARM now???
See that was another "kid's" elective comment. Just cause you can post here and now, and contribute .50 cents to this forum doesnt make you a grown man. shape up.
Look, I'm going to be serious and give you real feedback. A good number of your posts do not make sense. You started that thread today or yesterday about post-game strategies for today's game. What the hell is a post-game strategy? Why would you have a strategy for after the game? Why would you be sparking post-game conversation when the pre-game was in full force? It seems you don't know the difference b/w "post-" and "pre-", and that's just stupid. In the OP of that thread, you asked how JB implements the production of Curry. WTF does that mean??? Do you know what "implementation" means? In short: 1) Read more and post less - a lot less. 2) Get your 3rd grade teacher or your mom to proofread your stuff when you do feel you're ready to post again.
Ya post game, since we lost and got blown out. How do we implement Curry or the whole team? Post or Pre. Man you are the kid, and your posts are very butter fingers... Ya look http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/1994.html Pretty good quad? Wtf does that have to do with anything either??? get my drift kid, today is present..
That season had a fun team, but we still got clobbered in the first round. Last year's team was much better.
I think the difference is chemistry. Looking back at the GSW's roster, they still have their nucleus. The Rockets keep changing the roster every year, even when things worked. The addition of Ty Lawson and then firing McHale, all probably messed up the chemistry. Not to mention that trade or trade attempts at the deadline (D-Mo, Howard). Everything just starts to add up at the end. Meanwhile, GSW kept their good pieces, and upgraded their other pieces. And back Curry, Thompson, etc. had 3 years to mature since then. Thompson was only in his 3rd season then. Green was in his second season (and only started 12 games). They began meshing after that and improved every year. Then they got a coach that fit them. But they're all high IQ and know their roles.
