A brilliant movie, no doubt, and a fantastic character. However, Michael Douglas didn't have to stretch himself too much to play that part. That's my impression of how he behaves in real life. Kinda like Jack Nicholson in the Shining, or Courtney Love in that movie that she played a drug addict. That's not acting, that's just being yourself.

Yeah Goodman is great in all of their movies. He cracks me up as the coach in Revenge of the Nerds as well.

    4) Either of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern from Stoppard's film.
    5) Lloyd Dobler in Say Anything
    6) Willy Clark in the Sunshine Boys
    7) T. E. Lawrence in Lawrence of Arabia
    8) Dr. Strangelove in Dr. Strangelove ( Etc.)
    9) Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird
    10) Ghandi in Ghandi

Eargh! Or even Gandhi...the problem with hunting and pecking is that you're looking down at the keys, so you can get letter orsers mixed up and not even realize it.

    Rick Deckard in Blade Runner.

And several others, but I wanted to get this dude in. Ford's best role, in my opinion.
