Miss You Shattered Hang Fire Waiting on a Friend Get Off My Cloud Paint it Black Sympathy for the Devil Undercover of the Night You Can't Always Get What You Want But they all pale in comparison to Gimme Shelter - arguably one of the GREATEST songs of all-time.

This is difficult, and I'd probably make another list tomorrow, but for now, and in no particular order... Memo from Turner This might be cheating, but I absolutely love this Jagger/Richards tune from a flick Jagger was in, Performance, which came out (1970) long after it was made (1968). Ry Cooder plays slide guitar. If you haven't seen the film, you should. The Last Time Play with Fire Both from Out of Our Heads. On the American release, you also had Satisfaction, a huge single for them, but I always preferred these two cuts on the LP. Get Off of My Cloud From December's Children (And Everybody's), which had some great songs, not all written by the Stones. Get Off of My Cloud meant something to me then, as there was a chick who was giving me a hard time. The song fit. Mother's Little Helper The mother of one of my best friends was perfectly described in this tune, and we all knew it at the time, which drove my friend crazy. Aftermath is one of my favorite Stones LPs. I love everything on it. One thing to remember is that when these LPs came out, there was often a UK version and a US version, and they usually had differences, large and small. People like me made sure to find the UK versions, so I'd have both. Aftermath released in the US had Paint it Black. The UK version didn't, but had longer versions of some of the songs, like the one I mentioned. Something Happened to Me Yesterday From Between the Buttons, another great LP. I picked this song because it spoke to me. It's about something I was allegedly doing at the time. No Expectations From Beggars Banquet. Something I play when I'm in a particular mood. Just a great song. Brian Jones on slide guitar. You Can't Always Get What You Want A great song from a great album, Let It Bleed. Al Kooper is terrific on keyboards. Moonlight Mile I've always loved this song from Sticky Fingers. Although the first LP Mick Taylor played on for the Stones was Let It Bleed, this LP saw his biggest contribution to date. I was a fan of Taylor's guitar work, having first seen him play with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers at a club in Houston. He's aces here. Happy From Exile on Mainstreet. The story is that Richards, producer Jimmy Miller (playing drums), and sax player Bobby Keyes recorded this in the basement of Richards' rented villa in France one night, all three high as a kite. Later, with Jagger in charge, they added everything else at a studio in Los Angeles. A year earlier, I had met a good friend of Keyes (went to college together) in Amsterdam and traveled with him for several weeks, and had a chance to go with him to London, with Keyes offering his flat. My friend went (and came back to A'dam with some great stories), but I stayed because I'd met a beautiful Dutch chick who completely blew me away. One of those chances missed I guess, although I didn't regret it at the time.
Angie makes me want to learn how to play the piano. All of their slow stuff gets me. Man they are awesome.
