Get a Rope!! They were going to start selling Blue Bell in Nevada, but for some reason they decided not to. I think part of it was due to the fact that Nevada gets almost all their dairy type products from California. When I go back home, I always go to Krogers and get 2 pints of Vanilla and 2 pints of Cookies and Cream. Why did I ever leave Texas??
I don't know if I can eat ice cream any more after watching Little Miss Sunshine last night. I might lose my supermodel physique.
Does (insert any flavor) gelato count? I'm to the point where I don't even eat ice cream anymore. But since Blue Bell is so high on everyone's list I might give it a try. I see it here in Florida at the grocery, but I had no idea about it. With so many brands it's hard to stand out.
Gelado kicks major assage. The only problem is that stores can charge pretty much whatever they want for it, since a gelato machine costs more than $10,000, preventing people from making it at home...
In absolute terms, I wouldn't say Blue Bell is the best (I'll go with B&J Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough); but for quality per dollar spent it is.
I like a lot of different brands and flavors, but I always seem to come back to Blue Bell Cookies and Cream.
I will say Blue Bell since I am in CA and can't get it. So for nostalgia reasons it wins. I think Haagen-Dazs probably is better quality, and I like it better than B&J's. The flavors I eat depends on the mood. Sometimes just simple chocolate. If I have chocolate syrup and nuts at home I will use Vanilla and put that on top. I also like cookies and cream, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Chip.
Homemade Vanilla - Blue Bell Then add a mess of extras yourself. NOTHING goes with cobbler better than this ice cream.
You won't find many of the ice cream companies in low-income areas aside from Blue Bell. That's why we were raised eating this great stuff. We now love it and our palates can tell the difference. I like Blue Bell's HomeMade Vanilla and Cheesecake. <- that's supposed to be a licking, not a tongue out-sticking smiley-ticon guy
I love ice cream. Hard to pick a favorite so I'll list what I don't like: Mint Chocolate Chip and Pistachio...yuck
Blue Bell Homeade Vanilla is still the best. I also like Banana Split, Cookies and Cream, Peppermint, and Peaches & Homeade Vanilla. Non-Blue Bell I'd have to go with Oatmeal Cookie Dough from Ben & Jerry's or Cake Batter and strawberries from Coldstone.
Hanks Banana Pudding Hanks Sweet Potato Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla B&J's Cherry Garcia Great....now I'm gonna have to pick up some ice cream on the way home.
