Everybody remembers The Warriors as a cult classic favorite, but the one I remember that came out the same year is The Wanderers.

It's a matter of taste you guys, so don't get upset if you don't see the films you think are cult not applied here. With that being said, when I think of cult and the status it brings, I'm going with Evil Dead The original film.
Big Lebowski O Brother Where Art Thou Raising Arizona Best In Show Waiting For Guffman This Is Spinal Tap For Your Consideration Blazing Saddles (actually pretty sucessfull in it's day) Young Frankenstein History of the World Part I
I've been watching all 5 of those movies in a loop this entire weekend, and as great as Lebowski, Bottle Rocket, Office Space, and Clerks are, really, the funniest one out of all of them is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I forgot how absolutely funny it is from start to finish- I mean, it starts with the opening credits: "The directors of the firm hired to continue the credits after the other people had been sacked, wish it to be known that they have just been sacked. The credits have been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute." just too much funny stuff: [after slicing one of the Black Knight's arms off] King Arthur: Now stand aside, worthy adversary. Black Knight: 'Tis but a scratch. King Arthur: A scratch? Your arm's off. Black Knight: No it isn't. King Arthur: What's that, then? Black Knight: [after a pause] I've had worse. King Arthur: You liar. Black Knight: Come on ya pansy.
Hey, thanks for mentioning this. I'd never heard of it (or I had deeply forgotten it), and I'm enjoying some clips of it now.
It has to be Hard Ticket to Hawaii. Do yourself a favor and check out these clips: <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/tAaPeMMJLgs?version=3&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/tAaPeMMJLgs?version=3&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/dd_X-C5g29o?hl=en_GB&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/dd_X-C5g29o?hl=en_GB&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Just kidding. I've actually never seen it nor do I want to. I just remember it used to be played at midnight screenings at Alameda Mall cinemas relentlessly back in the late 70s/early 80s (may ring a bell to some Houstonians) because apparently everybody loved it? I just never got it nor did I want to. Can anyone say what it's even about? I doubt it's considered a cult classic so much but I like "Sideways" with Paul Giamatti and Thomas Hayden Church. Something about just the setting and involving wine with a funny story to it drew me in. And, this leads me to another one with in the same vein..."Bottle Shock". Something about vineyards and wine in the story appeal to me and make it refreshing. I don't even drink wine but I appreciate what's involved in making it and the intricate details involved with tasting.

I don't know if it's cult status but I was always a Way of the Gun fan when my friends talked about how badass Boondocks Saints was. But Boondocks Saints is great too.
Big Trouble in Little China Escape From New York Blazing Saddles House of 1,000 Corpses - don't really know if it has a cult like fallowing, but there is something about this movie that I like.
