Authoritarianism is only one part of Fascism. They are not one in the same. Stalin, Putin, Kim il Jong, Pol Pot, Saddam, are all examples of authoritarians. Yet none of them are Fascists. Hitler was a Fascist. Mussolini was a fascist.

Do you know why those two were fascists but the others were not? Can you at least explain why nearly every historian disagrees with you (not counting white nationalist historians)?

Okay, so what made Hitler infamous and what tools did he use to gain that infamy?

One tool fascists tend to use is redirect economic anxiety into fear and hatred towards the "outsider". Pretty much every fascist has used this tactic to rile up their citizens. Nuanced discussion on economic policy is hard. Rile up the base with red meat with easy targets.

The reason why it's an effective tactic by fascists is that the citizens will direct their anger at a certain class or race of people rather than criticize the people in power for their economic issues.

Your argument applies to when right wingers say that public health insurance is Nazi like because Hitler did it. Public health care isn't the reason Hitler is infamous.

And Nazi propaganda did heavily rely on the narrative that Aryan Germans are victims of the bastardization of their race that was propagated by Jewish elites.

What seems like a common trait with the current right wing regime in the White House along with the right wing media infrustrcture from social media to Fox News and Nazi propaganda is gaslighting the populace into believing that the majority ethnicity and religion of the nation are the victims. American Christians are victims of religious persecution. White people are victims of angry blacks and Muslims so on and so forth.

 

This is the very logic you are using to paint liberals as fascists. The irony escapes you.
