If we dump Anderson we can open up roughly 30 million in cap space without making any other moves (besides waiving Taylor/Wiltjer). Anderson might be a tough move but we weren't the only team interested in signing him last season. multiple teams can use a stretch 4, so I think dumping him will be possible. 30 mill is enough for a mini max(Porter/KCP/Noel) and a mid tier max (Hayward/Griffin/Ibaka), but would be like 2 million shy of a super max (Paul/Milsap/Lowry). I like a lot of pieces on our roster, I think Anderson is a negative. If we could dump Anderson and sign a max tier player while keeping the rest of our roster in tact for the most part, it would be a great upgrade for our team.
I kinda remember Woj reporting this so, i'd say that's true...unless it was just stuff thrown out to scare teams that he doesn't like...like Denver which was one of the teams having talks with Indiana.
Well, that certainly explains why Morey signed known 3PT-specialist FA centers like Dwight and Asik and drafted known 3PT-specialist centers like Dorsey, Capela, Harrell, and Onuaku.
