At the end of the day if you are trying to win the championship. You have to do what you gotta do to make that happen. In this case we need to have quality insurance for each position. That one reason why we lost last year. We did not have that backup plan for CP3. You just have to be ready for those kind of things.

He turns 26 in June.. A 3 year deal means he'd be 29 by his next free-agency (my bad, I thought he was 26 already). There's also the injury risk involved... He's doing what's best for him, no doubt, and I love what he brings to the team. I don't think his 3 ball will keep falling like it did, but to think him and Gary Clark deserve the same contract is just wrong...

again spreading more false information. he and clark would not have the same contract. Clark's contract isn't even fully guaranteed for all the years. House's offer was fully guaranteed

I play trivia every Wednesday night and one of the members of our team is a retired heart surgeon, a guy that really knows his stuff. He said that a hip flexor can take up to 6 weeks to recover from. If you're lucky, 3 weeks. Based on what he said, and unless Faried's injury is far less serious than it sounds, I would expect him to miss the next 3 weeks, minimum.

We can't catch a freakin' break, people.

IT'S THE SAME MONEY!! Good gosh... The dollar amount on their paychecks every two weeks would be the same...Did I need to word it "Do they deserve to be paid the same?" instead...

My god...remind me not to take a charge in my rec league...

Didn't even see the play where it happened--all of a sudden, Faried was gone.

I hope it's not too serious, but damn. We could really use a blessing from the basketball gods right now.

I’m all about getting the most money in any type of deal so I do understand his thinking.

With that said he’s not exactly lighting it up in the GLeague.

I highly highly doubt he receives any offer over the minimum with a max of 2 year team option on the second year, from not only the rockets but any team.

He had a nice 1st round pick money offer for 3 years.

I don’t doubt that he’ll get a Na roster spot and contract next year but his little 15 game run isn’t about to get him long term security.

Maybe playing on a minimum contract next year earns him more in the future? Maybe not but he isn’t getting paid this summer imo.

Faried to a charge "to the pelvis" huh?

"Hip flexor" if you catch my drift. That can end your evening quick, fast and in a hurry.

Man far"weed" stupid trying to flop offensive fouls.

Who the hell he think he is.. Shane Battier? Must have thought he was a Danzel in distress faking hits in a road game, he ain't drawing a charge!

What an idiot? He needs to get a haircut while on disabled list!

I'm not sure if we can attribute everything to "luck" at this point .

Luck would be like an ACL or random catastrophic injury.

I think some of the injuries the rockets have dealt with this year are partially due to MDA's rotations and whatever our training staff is doing .

We've just had too many injuries for it to be a coincidence
