Seriously, fans do not know what they are talking about or have a real understanding of the game. This guy just said that Mario Williams is a bust, yet he thinks John Abraham should get into the hall of fame. He's main line of reason was he's never seen Williams do anything special or even get alot of sacks :)rolleyes:). I'm not even Texans fan, but Mario Williams is one another level from Abraham. Abraham is all about the pass rush, while Williams is more versatile DE, capable of drawing multiple defenders, getting to the QB, and stuffing the run.

Yet, this guy (homer) is convinced that the Texans should of taken someone besides Mario Williams.

I STILL know fans who think Reggie would of been better for us then Mario... People ignore numbers and facts if it goes against their already established opinion.

You mean a more versatile OLB?

Fans ignore things like salary caps and roster any time a player is released. Btw, McNair is cheap since he doesn't spend money.

Op, who are you talking about? listening to fans, I almost started believing that Schaub could not throw past one yard, that he takes a sack on every play and has a Qb rating lower than Big ben's! =)

Don't you mean Super Bowl Champion Reggie Bush? I don't see any championship rings on Mario's fingers.

The TC from the Terrell Owens thread still thinks the Texans should have gone after VY.

There are studies that show that once a person believes something, no matter how wrong they are, it's very hard to change their mind even with a mountain of evidence proving they're wrong.

There are always folks blowing hot air that have no clue what they're talking about. No sense in getting worked up about them.

Not getting worked up at all. It just made no sense, for one he was (Atlanta) Falcons fan. My main point was he doesn't really watch enough Texans games, most likely to know how good Mario Williams (His point being that he never saw Mario Williams do anything special, when he has seen them on TV). It was a defensive end discussion, Williams did move to OLB, but it was kind of pointed at career wise look.

With that being the case, Mario Williams is a much better (versatile) player who can play multiple positions. I doubt Abraham could play anything outside of defensive end and especially anything beyond rushing the passer. Even in exclusively in passing rushing ability, Abraham is not in Jared Allen's or Dwight Freeney's league, honestly, while he doesn't see double teams like Williams, does either.

Lastly, if Richard Dent and Charles Haley are not in the hall of fame, yet. How in the world is John Abraham getting in?
