[FanHouse] Rockets interested in Cousins... and Carl Landry

I'd be willing to give up anything not named Kevin Martin to bring back Landry.

 

I really don't see why you are all going nuts over Landry.

1. We already have Scola and Hill at the PF spot
2. Landry is no spring chicken
3. Landry will not solve any of the Rockets' problems except maybe 4th quarter scoring, but defense has been the major problem for the Rockets, not scoring.

Cousins on the other hand, yes please.

 

We need Landry more than King need. I miss Landry especially in our fourth quarter. Trade Yao for Landry

 

? Brooks would be a perfect fit with Evans. IMO

 

I would trade our pick for Cousins, easily. He is a franchise C...

 

He isn't happy in SAC and wants to come home.

You never know, we might get lucky and draft another franchise player to go along with cousins.

If we trade for Landry, we might become the only team in the league to get worse defensively when Scola goes out.

 

Proof that he badly wants to return to Houston? If your answer is "he's playing worse", the response is that teams are actually somewhat paying attention which they were not doing before. Landry was a badass, but because of that, he is massively overrated by this board. We don't need him with our PF spot if anything clogged up, and him demanding a new contract at the end of this season.

 

Home for Landry is in Milwaukee. I fully expect them to make a run for him after this season. Full MLE, whatever the new one is.

 

Get Cousins please.

 

I find it hard to believe they are actually after both Cousins and Landry. We have Scola/Hayes/Hill/Miller/Yao/Patterson and they want both? The hell why not. They need to look 'long term' and land a closer. Landry led the league in 4 quarter scoring before he was traded.

 

If you get Landry back he needs to play SF. Seriously, he'd be a good rebounder there he needs to work on his handles so he can play that position. He'd help out a lot more teams at the 3.

 

Cousins with his head right, could easily replace Yao.
