Nicely played, sir. Nicely played. That article was awesome in a comically horrible way. The Matt Barnes line is what really got me. That said, his basic premise is understandable from the POV of an average NBA fan - he hasn't read "The myth of the Rockets and 2010 free agency" - but his supporting details are comically uninformed.
And got sweep out of the playoffs every time they met a tough team. They also played in the era of the Leastern Conference.
I somewhat agree with him on his take on the trade. Tmac of 2 years ago + Landry now is better then Hill on the Knicks + Martin. The only problem is, that's not the trade. The picks were a big part of it. Tmac is much worse then he was 2 years ago. And Hill isn't stifled by the Knicks anymore.
"Patience is a virtue"--that is his suggestion for reading his article. Even though I just can not finish 1/3 of the reading for his stupid writing, it just wastes time to read it.
I was about a third into it before I stopped. The dude is simply uninformed. Ron Artest was not our best defender and letting McGrady's contract expire would not allow us to sign a top tier free agent.
Failure to understand free agency... Check Failure to understand salary cap... Check Failure to understand basketball... Check Ability to write long winded piece of crap.... Check The author has a bright future ahead. All he needs to learn is how to make stuff up via imaginary sources and he'll be writing for the NY post.
Did you notice he changed the beginning... from "trading your best defender" to "not re-signing your best defender"
Saw your comment on that. He hasn't deleted anything since. Good job. As they say, "When you mess with one Clutchfan, you mess with all the other crazy nuts with too much time on their hands."
Classic. And now my little write-up is on there twice. Edit: just saw "kill yourself immediately." I lol'd.
