You know how MDA is so polite, and doesn't point fingers.

Well, maybe passively he does. Am I reading this quote correctly. Sounds to me like MDA is saying Morey screwed it up at the trade deadline and he wanted to keep Brewer and Ennis (and that #1 pick), and not mess with a team on pace for 60.

You are reading the quote incorrectly IMO. Hes talking about the team getting figured out and/or getting tired out and playing poorly.

I dont believe it has anything to do with management or a disappointing trade deadline.

yeah, I think you're off on this one HP, much more innocent comment than that. Simply saying, "we blew it" . . . .

He's really throwing shade at Harden for not being a leader. Harden told the team it should play better defense, but he didnt clap enough or scream "play harder".

OK, wise guy, so what did he mean, then? Huh? That everyone from last year screwed it up, except for Corey Brewer and Tyler Ennis ... how does that make sense???

besides, getting Lou Williams screwed up Harden's MVP race. Having Brewer and Ennis makes the WB had no help argument weaker. And, you're also saying MDA wouldn't rather have that #1 pick now....which would be Kuzma.

I think he meant, "We should have won 60 last year. We screwed it up. After the All Star break, we were very, very mediocre.”

Meaning: We should have won 60 games last year. We (the team) screwed it up. After the All Star Break we sucked.

I'm not sure I'm saying ANY of that stuff. Certainly not "you're also saying MDA wouldn't rather have that #1 pick now....which would be Kuzma" . . . .

    ;)

Well, they really made a poor second part of the season in term of winning % comparing the first 2/3 months, now i can't remember exactly but i think in the last 3/4 months they won something like 50% of their games which wasn't as good as they were doing before (i'm not even sure they did better than OKC in that span). Maybe it was actually when our streak ended after a game against the Wolves when we came back in the last minutes after being down 12, we won that game but i think we lost the game after and we started losing more games.
