Fitz for Newton straight up, do it now. Like trading a meatloaf sandwich for a turd burger. Gitter done! Seriously, Fitz looked fairly decent last night, much better than last week, BUT he has a ten year record of mediocrity. Cam Newton is a rising young star who is considered one of the elite QB's. There is no comparison. Newton would lead the Texans to the playoffs.
Who considers Newton "one of the elite QB's"? Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Scam Newton.....one of those doesn't belong.
Well I am biased when it comes to him, but there just isn't a case for him being one of the elite QB's in the league. It looked like he had a good chance to become one of them after his rookie year, but he's never lived up to that promise.
If he was an "elite" QB, it wouldn't really matter, an "elite" QB makes his receivers good and often leads to them being overrated. Newton is by no means a bum, but he's not elite either, he's just a run of the mill "good" QB.
I agree with you about Cam not being quite elite, but personnel matters. Gotta have those playmakers on the outside to contend.
