One of biggest mistakes: not making Lowry the priority signing of 2014 off-season.

It's pretty much what you are saying. You want Mchale to be a bad coach but those who played for him from the rockets disagree with you. Parsons also thinks highly of mchale after he left the rockets.

I can. Per Lowry, he tried to hold him accountable. So it makes sense that he tried the same with James. It clearly didn't work.

Do you honestly think Harden had nothing to do with getting McHale fired?

I'm sorry but Bosh is the better player at the time and would have been a better fit and is more versatile.

I'm not sure how harden and Lowry would have fit, perhaps they would have pushed each other but there's only one ball.

A core of harden, parsons, bosh, and Howard seems better than a core of harden, Lowry, parsons, and Howard.

Yep. Morey played that offseason right. He just didn't have any luck.

No, we were going after Carmelo first, Bosh was probably second but Morey didn't think that he was going to leave Miami.

    It should've been
    1. Lowry
    2. Bosh
    3. Melo

    Instead, Morey went with
    1. Melo
    2. Bosh
    3. Lowry

so impressed with how Lowry got his head on straight after years of being a ****head

his spot as an all-star starter is well-deserved

Why? Bosh was clearly the best fit out of those 3. However, it wasn't clear that Bosh was even available until Lebron signed in Cleveland. I would argue that Morey did OK.

When you think Mchale and JB are it and we can do no better, I really have to feel sorry for you.

thats what happens when clowns chase their "3 star prophecy".

Without the proper supporting cast it doesn't matter, unless you have Lebron on your damn team.

Na I think he was open to coming back he just didn't want to wait and see what we were doing because Toronto had already offered him the biggest deal of his life.

The rockets told him that he had to wait for us to get answers from melo/ bosh and he decided he wasn't going to wait around for that. I dont blame him but he would be the ideal fit next to harden. He plays well with derozan who's another ball dominant ISO heavy player.

Even with lebron it won't get it done.

He would not Have been to 5 straight finals playing in the west and even with 6 appearances he's still only won 2 and was a lucky 3 missed away from onky having 1.

He's been the best player in the league for a long time but he's also played on the most stacked team the past 6 years and doesn't have as much success as he would like.

I personally believe he will never win another ring the NBA has caught up to him and he's declining even though he's still a top 5 player there is players better than him.

So what you're saying is, he chose not to come here!

Did the rockets make him wait? Yes.

If he really wanted to be here, couldn't he have just waited? Yes.

Did he agree to come here and we still made him wait? No.

Did he say later he realized Toronto was right for him because he was THE guy there and that's what ultimately mattered to him? Yes.

So let's stop with the "if only Morey had made him a priority he'd be here" stuff...He wasn't coming here. He was open to it, yes, but meeting with Houston only made it more obvious he wasn't going to be the man here.

Word for word it isn't. But you have made your opinion about mchale pretty clear and you were quoting players from mchale's twolves years. Its an Internet forum, just come out and say there's no facts or testimony from current rockets player that won't change your mind about "mcfail".

Mchale was an average coach on the rockets and nothing more.

    Nope.

Morey would have gone for either bosh or melo, who ever signed first. We had a venal commitment from bosh before Miami threw the max at him with that extra year.

They probably have ghost writers but it's a good read. Maybe this can dispel the notion that McHale was easy on the players.

Lowry is a nice guy and just seems to be apologizing to Mchale for not giving him more time to gel. However, if you have to ask Lowry if he'd rather play for Adelman or Mchale right now, the answer would be very clear. Everyone knows Mchale is the "nice guy" and genuinely will go to war for his players. In that regards, he is a tremendous individual. Adelman, on the other hand, allowed Lowry to have fun as a PG...which indirectly made him grow as a player.
