we have been over them multiple times and whenever someone lists them you go poof.

on that note, just last week you claimed that trump never called for violence then when i listed a half dozen times he did you disappeared.

once again, you are either trolling, incredibly dumb or incredibly dishonest.

Well, if I missed it, sorry about that. I'm being sincere.

But, I wouldn't be surprised if you showed me the evidence, and we still disagreed.

Everytime someone shows me a Trump "lie", it has a -whole lot- of interpretation and spin on it.

Actually, the one thing I think I can point to -- the obvious thing -- that would be a Trump "lie," was him saying Mexico would pay for the wall.

Of course, that was always a stupid claim of his; and nobody really believed it even the first time he said it.

Hmmm, maybe. But she seems to be recanting her past. OTOH, her record isn't entirely impeccable either, and I didn't know that til someone brought it up.

Well, sorry I missed it, but like I replied to someone else here, whenever someone shows me his supposed "lies," it's a bunch of spin -- usually.

For example, right after the election Trump said he had "one of the biggest" or maybe he said "the biggest" electoral win(s) "ever."

Then, the press brigade pilloried him for his "lie," and cited all these other, bigger electoral landslides.

But any reasonable person listening knew that was hyperbole on his part, and wouldn't make an effort to call it a "lie."

These are the kinds of "lies" people usually refer to.

And if you're referring to this Russia stuff, nothing has been found on that score either, although Trump critics are determined to said he "lied" on multiple occasions about that issue.

In the end, Trump critics are "leaning forward," ready to call any slight inconsistency "a lie."

    Then, there are reasonable people.

It's probably best for all of us to let this go. We're not going to convince each other.

Parts of the border are quite porous. Does that mean we have "open borders"? Many would say yes. You disparage the opinions of others by calling them morons.

That's not quite what I have said. My main problem with the MSM is its leftist slant, which in turn leads to reports that are factually incorrect. See: the Covington coverage.

I don't like sensationalism either, but most media these days engage in some form it; and to my mind, it's a bit more forgivable (or at least less objectionable) if you think the news source is generally right on things.

Moreover, is any news source going to be right 100% of the time?

You and others are determined to call (most) anything Breitbart says or reports as a lie, and when I point out the reasoning of a headline or story, you just say those people are "morons."

So, we're really talking past each other, which is never a really good use of time on anyone's part.

I now understand what happened. I didn't see your list, because I had you on ignore.

I had placed a lot of posters who seem to suffer from TDS and who dispense vitriol, on ignore.

More recently, I thought I should be more open-minded about that sort of thing, and I reversed a lot of those. Thus I now see your posts.

It seems that I had the correct policy, previously.

First person I thought of that fits that is my father in law, and you’re absolutely right. He would think that way. Hell last time I was over there he kept flipping between Fox News and RT.

Man, you are young (not based on your posts or thinking, just the 50'ish father-in-law). I am jealous.

That is not meant as condescending or snarky, I have 3 young adults as kids. And, I remember (probably not completely accurately) my youth. It is a heck of a time. Enjoy the heck out of it.

But, give your father-in-law a break (unless he is a jerk for other reasons). It is an interesting experience getting older and seeing your personality and views change. And, knowing that in some ways you may have some more experience but also acknowledging that you are just getting older and perhaps less open to change (although clearly not true for all.)

I have zero idea why I interjected with that. But, for whatever reason your post evoked that. Of course, in the background, my wife has "Brandy" playing so I may be nostalgic.

    Peace.

Haha, nah man I am 39. My father in law is in his late 50’s I think. He’s actually my wife’s step father. She’s 38.

And he’s not a bad guy at all. Just very set in his ways, and loves to try and provoke me and the wife, who are both more liberal.

    doubtful.

based on your post history, im sure we would disagree. when you dont like the facts you dismiss them and say they are leftists and liars...its one of the reasons youre one of the most dishonest posters here.

youre the one who engages in spin...facts are facts, but your problem is that when you dont like the facts you say they are "leftist" and liars...that is, unless you just go poof and disappear.

we have discussed the multitude of trump lies over and over again. what you are doing now is just picking one lie and ignoring all the others. you are either ignorant, a liar or a troll.

thats not true either - it was his main campaign promise and rallying cry at his campaign stops. thousands of people chanted along that mexico was going to pay for the wall...all you brainwashed trumpublicans ate it up. you cant pretend now that nobody believed it. again, you are either ignorant, a liar or a troll.

and those people would be morons.

    yes.

thats exactly what you have said...you are either lying or trolling here.

wrong again. im calling you out for saying breitbart is the ONLY legitimate source of news and that everyone else including fox are "leftist" and liars. and also for saying that mainstream media engages in sensationalist headlines while at the same time citing sensationalist and inaccurate headlines from breitbart.

here is a 2:20 video of nothing but trump advocating for and calling for violence...
    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donald-trump-incitement-violence/

    1) he thought it was great when a republican politician, greg gianforte body slammed a reporter for asking a question.
    2) he said he would pay the legal fees of any supporter who beat up a protestor (he never did, btw).
    3) he repeatedly told supporters at his rallies to beat up protestors.
    4) he attacks the media so much at his rallies that they have been physically assualted multiple times and have had to have police escorts back to their vehicles.
    5) repeatedly calling the free press the enemy of the american people, even after terrorists get caught plotting to murder journalists who are critical of trump. at some point one of you lunatics is going to actually kill one of them and trump is going to bear some responsibility for that.

So you, like bobby, arbitrarily decide after the fact which lies of Trump people believe or don't. What a stupid precedent. It was a lie and he claimed it. Most people who weren't his supporters didn't believe much have the crap he spouted. His supporters believed more.

Well, you can call that one a lie. And yes, I would call it a lie. But I never believed it in the first place.

I guess my main objection is to people like Sam Harris who say "Trump lies all the time."

Aside from Mexico paying for the wall, I just don't hear that many things from him that -I am sure- are lies.

So, to me people who say he lies all the time are a) looking for any slight inconsistency and calling that a lie b) listening to his hyperbole and calling that a lie c) in fact, attributing to him things he -has not- said (as was said elsewhere here: "Trump says all Mexicans are r@pists". Guess what, he never said that.)

Harrisment has pointed to a Veterans-VHS claim, made by Trump, that is apparently a lie. I'm not familiar with that one, so I'll take his word for it, for now.
