EDL prank call this morning on Howard. EDL wants to be like Madonna. I can't believe it went on for so long. EDL cracks me up. Paraphrased: --- EDL: Is this the adoption agency? AA: Yes. EDL: Do you know who I am? AA: No. EDL: This is David Letterman. Are you a fan? AA: Hello Mr. Letterman. Of course. EDL: I need to make sure this call is private. AA: All calls are confidential. EDL: Okay. I'm interested in adopting a black child. AA: Alright. We have a lot of them. EDL: I want a light skinned black. Do you have light skinned blacks? Like Paula Abdul and Sinbad. That would be great. AA: Umm. I guess. EDL: Does the child come with insurance? AA: What are you talking about? EDL: Like if he steals my TV, stereo, furniture. AA: Excuse me. EDL: Okay okay does he play pro basketball? AA: What? EDL: Nevermind this is a child. AA: We only have babies. EDL: Will he grow up to be a gangster? AA: Depends on how you raise him. EDL: Does he come with a cage? I don't want him to rape my girlfriend. AA: Are you serious? What is wrong with you? EDL: I want a playtoy for Paul Schaffer. After the publicity dies down, can I return him? AA: Of course not! EDL: How do I feed him? Do I put a watermelon in a blender? AA: That's it! Mr. Letterman if you're serious about adopting a child you need to come down in person. EDL: Is there a test to make sure he's not gay? AA: I hope you never get to adopt a black child. **** off! Go to hell! Click.
Baba Booey Seriously, I thought there was a waiting list to adopt children in the US. I think wealthy Americans should adopt here before going abroad. I also think your sexual orientation does not determine whether you can be a good parent.
I actually enjoy Howard Stern. But this is a combination of 1) overused, tired racist stereotypes and 2) harrassing an adoption agency (because, clearly, they deserve it). Pretty stupid.
Evil David Letterman is a funny character. But no prank calls will ever top the Touchtone Terrorists.
If it needs to be explained to you then you've already determined it's not funny. Do you find Chappelle's pixie skit funny?
I'd imagine hearing someone that sounds a lot like David Letterman saying this adds considerably to the funniness.
Honestly, haven't seen the skit. Then again, I am also one of many who simply doesn't find Stern and his merry band of morons to be remotly entertaining.
It might. But using something original and actually funny for material would add a lot too. Actually it isn't that big of a deal. I just don't find it funny, just stale, but if other people enjoyed it then that is good enough reason for it to be there.
lmao, this is hilarious. For the people, who don't get it. It exploits the common stereotypes of black people... that african-americans tend to play basketball and enjoy eating watermelons. It's kind of the opposite of when Chris Rock(a very popular comedian) makes fun of white people by overexaggerating the way white people do things to make a funny point. Of course it's politically correct for Chris Rock to say these things, because 1000000's of years ago, his relatives might of been slaves, therefore he can say whatever he wants without criticism. This "evil" Dave Letterman however, is clearly a racist. I bet his living room is filled with white power magazines. I understand why some people would not find this funny.
