Lowry doesn't pretend to be a great 3 point shooter and take 5 a game

Orlando is feeling the wrath of Rafer right now... 1-7 at halftime vs. Chicago

Rafer would finish this game with 10 points on 4-12 shooting, and commit 4 turnovers in 29 minutes, who would be the only starter for the Magic to not play over 30. I think the Bulls must have come up with a special defense designed to contain the other four players, which would force Rafer to make scoring plays, which we know is not his specialty.

His backup, Anthony Johnson, would also end up with 10 points, but on 4-9 shooting with 2 turnovers committed in 16 minutes.

actually i was watching the first half and the bulls were playing terrible defense against the magic.

they kept leaving rashard lewis open to go double hedo or dwight. i blame that on the coaching staff of the bulls and rose for not playing the percentages.

he finished the game 3-5 after starting 1-7. there will be some ups and downs for rafer though.

of course i do not miss his 9-30 shooting combined so far for the magic.

    hehehehehehehehe

aw man, he ain't shooting better for the Magic??????

Everywhere he looked he had a weapon to pass to, except when he looked down and passed to himself.

How can you be that bad a shooter after being a pro for so long?

Here's the point 99.999% of the media missed as they thought the Rockets dealt Magic Johnson to ORL.

The Rafer Rockets were among the leagues' worst in transition O averaging ~ 6 fastbreak points per game. 6 fastbreak points is all the normally high-octane Magic put on the board as they lost to a sub .500 team.

    Welcome to reality Orlando.

The rockets had Tmac, Yao, and battier who never run the break. The only 2 players who ever ran was scola and rafer. I find it funny how you try to compare players when their respective circumstances aren't even remotely similar.

The Magic have lost 2 of the last 4 games. Even when Rafer hits his shots, they lose. The Magic will drop in the standings, since the other teams ignore Rafer on defense.

I'm guessing the Magic will stay right where they are, in 3rd place. They have a 9 game lead over the Hawks, who are in 4th place. With or without Nelson, they would have likely finished in 3rd. The playoffs may be a different story though.

    Jason Kidd?

Career-wise, their shooting woes are not much too different. While one has slightly worse FG%, the other has poorer 3pt%.
