I agree with the last 3 posters. We can't win tough games playing the way we did tonight. Yao doesn't have to shoot, but the ball should go through him, that is, he should touch the ball. I love Cuttino but he's not the brightest player. He and Moochie should never be on the court together. That's my two cents.

Are you suggesting that we pass up wide open perimeter shots because they're not "in the theme of the offense"? You take what the defense gives you.

The reason we had so many open shots was because guys were making the extra pass. Sure, when we were up by 20 there was some ill advised shot selection, but it was practically trash time already. When the Bulls made a little run in the 3rd quarter, we got back on track and put them away. Something we never did last year...

But Yao Ming was the first player to show that he was 'hot', he didnt go cold, the Guards just stopped involving him in the Game.

If we play strong D, I'll be happy. The victories will follow.

I'm sorry, but a 20 point lead in the third quarter against an nba team is not garbage time. You already seen how poorly we can play based on last game.

By "last game" you mean the one we won by 30? Yeah, we sure played poorly...

Did you stop to think that maybe we weren't going through Yao on every single possession because it was the first game of a back to back on the road (along with being up by 20+, red hot perimeter shooting, and Yao's fatique problem)?

Why do I feel like I'm chasing my tail?

So whats your problem? The majority of the shots were wide open shots. You should be happy. With the exception of Moochie there was not a lot of aimless dribbling trying to get your own shot type of play. Most of the shots came from passing the ball around the perimeter or taking it into the paint and passing it back out to an open man who then made the open shot. That is proper and effective offense.

This offense looked nothing like the offense last year where someone would dribble out the shot clock and then take a last second shot that looked like a prayer or just lowering the head and driving aimlessly into the paint just hoping to draw a foul.
