    i only know about this story b/c i was in san antonio yesterday and this was big news on the local sports jack-hole show - mike taylor. apparently his wife was overheard saying he wants to come to nyc so now spurs fans are up in arms. ignorant spurs fan after ignorant spurs fan was calling in saying "screw parker, we dont need him", "he's a benedict arnold", "he rode the tails of timmy and manu for his rings and now he is going to leave", ect. just typical reactionary, emotional-based spurs-fan ignorance.

    parker was a finals mvp once - these callers were all denigrating his contribution to the titles. calling him disloyal - how loyal were the spurs when they courted jason kidd?

    you know they don't even care if the Rockets win or lose right? they only care if there favorite player did well and drop the 'those other guys suck' crap or 'rick adelman sucks' crap

    SA would have to really want Parker to be in NY to accept the likely Knicks offer of Felton, Turiaf, and Chandler.

    NY would be better off trading Curry-Gallinari-Randolph for Melo and then try to sign Parker outright for $9M or so.

    It could happen.

    i think his contract is up after this season. its not like he is demanding a trade or anything - he is playing it out and if he leaves its his right to do so. but if i were him i would be looking to leave - the spurs are on the decline and he is not a #1 alpha dog - he needs to go to another team if he wants to contend. he is still young so why stay w/ the spurs and linger in mediocrity?

    most of the people calling into that idiot mike taylor's show were saying that if parker doesnt want to be there they should trade him asap, even better if to a crappy team.

    these are probably the same people who were calling in literally in tears when they traded malik rose. "im cancelling my seasons tickets!!!" - haha...losers.

    I don't know if Parker is a Dantoni point guard. He is more of a scorer than a passer.
