but aren't European league stats a poor indication of a player's fit and potential in the NBA because of the vastly different styles of play? some examples that come to mind are Vucevic, Antetokoumpo, Ibaka, Batum and even Rubio. Their stats in the Euroleagues and/or FIBA tournaments were crap but they managed to find success in the NBA
Good point. I think the difference that you should be looking at is the players age. The Euroleague stars should be producing and have serious stats. However, their talented youngest players do not get much pt and may have serious NBA potential. In other words, its to your scouts to tap the talents before they sign these bloated contracts.
DM did the right thing by trading T-Rob in order to get Howard. He isn't a smart player, but he didn't stink it up in Game 6 against us. His 8 points were valuable in a tough playoff game. I doubt if you could even get on the court in a high school game.
