Don't think people who are saying this type of thing realize that the media industry is kind of collapsing all around. Revenue streams are drying up. Has nothing to do with politics or who runs Disney, it's about the decreasing value of cable deals.
ESPN used to be my morning jam with Mike and Mike, wake up and watch 30 min and then have it on in the background, then when Sirrus came around I could listen to them and then Mike Greenburg became a douche bag and he became dead to me ...............now I may watch it once a week if I can ever catch PTI live , still have love for those guys but the rest can move on. I hate to say it, but ESPN is becoming a dinosaur just like me...........these times are a changin
I do understand that. What you failed to acknowledge is that a failing business sector in Disney's portfolio can cause huge ripples across their entire company. Disney is not good for ESPN. It never was. The quality and overall management of the entire offering has slowly declined since they took ownership. The business model might force a slash in workforce size, but never should've caused a decline in quality. This is across Disney's entire media offering. They suck hard. ESPN just happens to be the sector that affects me the most...so I'm calling them out for it.
About the only thing that's gonna be left at ESPN are people that sit there yelling at each other and eye candy. But I'm just saying grumpy things because I don't really even watch ESPN anymore.
bspn should stop lying to itself and just roll out bikini bebes to cover games while fukkin a smith dances in the background with cheese doodles in his hand.
Same. I haven’t had cable tv since 2016… The only exposure to ESPN for me was ESPN radio to and from work 97.5fm. once I went remote in 2020…haven’t listed to the radio. I just remember there was a lot of kellerman hate in the GARM lol
Disney bought ESPN in what, 1995? So you are clamoring for an early 90s/1980s version of ESPN? I think you are alone on that one bro. The industry has changed. Cable sports programming is simply becoming an outdated medium.
ESPN started really dying for me when YouTube came around and game highlights started getting posted on there pretty much the only reason I’ve ever changed the channel to ESPN the past decade plus is to watch the national TV games
