The record with Yao playing with an injured big toe and a crappy supporting cast, you can't be serious, can you?

Not very stellar in terms of team record. But then again the 04-05 Cleveland Cavaliers didn't make the playoffs either in a weak conference, with a full healthy roster. So I don't know why you keep trying to compare apple to orrange.

    Me saying, huh?

Its a no brainer that Yao is untouchable from a basketball standpoint but ALSO from a Marketing point of view..the guy makes big money for Les

I dont know why everyone keeps saying that Lebron has no one playing around him. He has one of the top 5 offensive centers in the league, a very good wing player in Hughes, a three point specialist in Jones, a banger PF in Varajao and a shooting PF in Marshall.

I think Z, Marshall/Varajao, Hughes and Snow which is who James played with, are a better compliment then Juwan/Swift, Bowen/Bogans, Head/Wesley, Alston which was who Yao played with most of last season.

The 2002-2003 Orlando Magic went to the playoff in the east. The 2003-2004 Orlando Magic was 21-61 which forced Tmac to make the hard decision to leave. I see your Lebron team very similar to the 2003-2004 Orlando Magic. Both teams have a superstar wing player who plays the SF position and a weak supporting case. The only difference is that the Tmac back then was much better than Lebron. The rocket team with Yao and no Tmac didn't win most of it's games last season. But how many games do you think your Lebron team which is similar to the 2003-2004 Magic would have won? How do you know that the Lebron team would have done better and won more games? Do you really know or you simply don't? You are the one who can't answer my question.

our discussion has veered too far away.. I started putting lebron in last year's rox team w/out tmac.. then you wanted to use 03 orlando team.. then wehn I told you that team went to playoffs and lebron can bring them to the playoffs as well you changed to the 04 orlando team..

lets get back to last years rox team..

    rafer/head
    wesley/head
    bogans/bowen
    howard/swift
    yao

    or

    rafer/head
    wesley/head
    james/bogans
    howard/swift
    mutombo/swift

Lebron's 31.5 pts 7 rebs 6.6 assists, endurance, athleticism, strength, and intensity defintely could have resulted in more wins

LOL, you really have your own unique way to label the teams. :D

No, the '03 orlando team' (2003-2004 Orlando Magic) did not get into the playoff. They went 21-61.

By the way, how did the '04 orlando team' (the '2004-2005 Orlando Magic' team) get into this discussion?

Anyway, this is the very first post I made in this thread:

I called it the '2003 Orlando Magic' because I thought even the grandma of my buddy would know I was talking about the '2003-2004 Orlando Magic' team. But then I found out you actually had problem to figure it out (unbelievable huh?) and thought I was referring to the '2002-2003 Orlando Magic'. Therefore in my subsequent posts I called it the '2003-2004 Orlando Magic' team to make it easier for you. So if you still cannot get it, I have always been strictly talking about the 21-61 '2003-2004 Orlando Magic' team. Is it clear enough for you now?

NBA Basketball 101: When someone says the 2003 Houston Rockets, he means the 2003-2004 Rockets team, not the 2002-2003 one or the 2004-2005 one. The year that precedes the name of the team is the year that the season starts. For example:

2005 Houston Rockets Preview. There they talk about the 2005-2006 Houston Rockets team.

The 2005 Houston Rockets Roster. This is the roster of the 2005-2006 Houston Rockets team.

Can you get it now? :)

I absolutely do not agree with it. If Tmac, who was much better than today's Lebron, could only win 21 games with his 2003-2004 Magic team, Lebron would not be able to win more than 10 games with the 2nd team in your post. 10-72 is a terribly low winning percentage.

Yea that nix101 dude was the same guy that said yao is not a superstar in one of the Mike James threads, lol. His angle is so obvious, its not even funny....

Its entertaining in the sense that this is the first yao hater I have seen on here in a while. I think most of them disappeared about one month after the allstar break, so I comend his persistence.
