Didn't see this posted yet... http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/1...dy-makes-debut-sugar-land-skeeters-takes-loss "All in all I did pretty well, and those guys [his teammates] seem to think I did as well," McGrady told the Houston Chronicle. "I give myself a B-minus.

Wow... This man is seriously delusional. He has an ERA of 10.8, only goes 1 2/3 as a starter, he's playing in Atlantic League which isn't a MLB affiliate, and he gives himself a B-? I'd give myself a D if I put up those numbers against that competition. I mean, it's certainly cool that he's playing a second professional sport, but that's like playing 9 minutes in a basketball game, getting 2 TOs, 0 points and tipping a rebound to a teammate and calling that a B-.
Yo. Finally playing his second love for the first time, professionally at that, and not putting up super super ****ty numbers, he didn't do half bad. Especially considering he just played his first game besides basketball of around 15+ years. Get real.
Did anyone here go to the game? Was it more full than usual? I wonder how much of him making the team is to sell tickets? I guess we'll see. Maybe we can make Tmac a tracking thread...
Maybe he think baseball scores are like basketball. "woohoo, they only scored 2 points on me. I just need hit a 3 to beat them..."
I went to the game, I've never been to a skeeters game before yesterday. I figured that I'd never get to see anything like this again, so I wanted to check it out. Had a great time- I was disappointed to see him pulled that fast but it wasn't unexpected. He has an odd delivery from the mound and got knocked around pretty badly. Pretty impressive for an NBA all-star though. Worth the trip- never been to a minor league stadium before, but I was very impressed by their venue. Don't know if it's like the other minor league parks or not, but it's very family friendly with tons of stuff for kids to do around the stadium while the game is going on. If I had small kids and lived in sugar land, I'd definitely go regularly. The park was pretty full (but I can't compare). I'm sure they got a bump because of t-mac, and they weren't shying away from it- they were selling t-mac skeeters t-shirts. I would have bought one (because the whole situation is hilarious), but for $25? Pass. I would have spent $15 tops.
I doubt T-Mac thinks he's going to the majors from here, probably just having fun with it to see how far he can take it. He's made his money why not live out your fantasy as a kid to play pro baseball.
