Ahhh I remember that now, thanks.

Man that would be a huge blow to the Mavs, and the Clippers would go back to giving us fits. I don't know which one I would prefer. Always good to see the Mavs and their fans suffer, but I was really looking forward to facing an easier Clippers team. We shall see what happens.

On the bright side, putting the ball into DJ's hands and out of Blake's will be greatly welcomed by the rest of the West.

I want him to stay with Dallas just to make our run to and through the playoffs that much easier. I wonder if Jordan backed out of deal with Dallas if Matthews would reconsider his deal or if Dallas would rescind their offer to him to actually go into tank mode. Dirk would probably just retire. Parsons would average about 10 hard fought points a game since he would be the only player to be stopped on that squad...... Screw it, Jordan go back to LA!!!

They will abandon that plan as soon as DAJ re-signs with the Clippers.

Cant wait to watch the locker room issues after that.

This may be true or not but I feel this is just ESPN trying to clicks....why announce your decision, meet with mavs coaches, work on your FT, just to leave....It def has been done before but seems odd that Rivers "did not know DJ wanted a bigger role" when all the media was talking about the last month was that he may leave for a bigger role. But hey we will see

On the bright side for the Mavs, if DAJ does go back to Clippers, the Mavericks will then have enough cap space to offer Jeremy Lin a max contract.

I bet DAJ would like to play for us, but for obvious reasons that likely won't ever happen.

I just have to say, that this is crazy... If DJ renegs on his verbal commitment with Dallas, how does this impact any FA's that have signed with Dallas recently. Wow...Mark Cuban may get the biggest kick to the nads ever...

DJ loves LA lifestyle. I'm sure his fiancee loves LA too. Isn't she a model?

This. This reminds me of when howard signed with us. And the media was still reporting he was not sure and on his way to a meeting with lakers management.

I will be shocked if he does not sign with the mavs.

In 1977, the #1 song was Baby Come Back.

In 1992, the #1 song was Baby Got Back.

I would believe this story if he wasn't already getting together and practicing with mavs coaches. I am almost 100% this was someone in clippers organization leaking news to ESPN to get a rumor started, if only to make him look bad to the dallas hopeful.
