Why is everyone acting like Lin is getting a max contract? He was basically a rookie last year (in the Blake Griffin rookie sense, I guess) and put up a 20 PER. 8 million dollars a year is a great investment for that.
that's hilarious because when lin was doing his thang, the 610 idiots got on maury for letting a "superstar" get by them.
I know you're being facetious, but just because one guy sucked doesn't mean everyone after him will. Lin is a risk, yes, but people are acting like signing him is a dooming a franchise.
The funniest part is Lin signed a deal with a team who cut him and he doesn't want to play for thinking the NY match would be a sure thing. Oops. Got to hand it to Morey if this happens because it is a genius move by him. Lin will be good and bring the Lin only Chinese fans over affecting attendance, merch sales, team publicity, etc. . Now, we need Howard and we could have an excellent tandem to build around. And, I won't cancel my league pass to boot.
Whatever, we won't really know till Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Its all a silly game, and you can't trust the Knicks at all.
Quoted for truth. The guy was a wing who had some insane numbers in 2003 - and he slowly dropped off each year after that. Didn't play PG though.
app. other ppl. reporting otherwise Jordan Schultz @206Child Source confirms that while #Knicks remain highly concerned about Lin's third year ($14.9 million), remain likely to match Jeremy Lin offer. Jordan Schultz @206Child Third year of Lin deal financially is the issue in terms of #knicks going well over the luxury tax; organization really likes his potential.
