No, because the broken shell of Kobe Bryant has a 23.5 million dollar cap hit and there is what used to be Steve Nash taking up another 9.7 million dollars.

It could be that we've been pretty busy. Lowry the first day, Melo next. Not much time to visit Cleveland.

you know what i suspect it is?

lebron james doesn't want to get out in miami. why would he? the east is as weak as it has ever been and him playing in the east would mean an almost automatic finals.

lebron james and his agent just want to make it appear that he is indeed exploring all his options, when the fact of the matter is he just wants max money or close to it with the heat, and that wade and bosh should have significant pay cuts.

if bosh and wade takes significant pay cuts and sign new contracts, james will resign with miami.

if both of these guys sign somewhere else, only then will lebron really consider taking on other offers.

    aaah no.

bron's agent didn't invite us to a sit down. it's not like we were the ones to demand that we only pitch by phone. lol

No way. I don't know why we weren't granted a face-to-face, I would speculate because LeBron and his agent are mostly just playing games at this point.

Perhaps they are trying to freeze the market and buy Riley more time or put pressure on Wade/Bosh to accept bigger pay cuts or put more pressure on Riley to come up with something.

Lebron is saving us to be his last trump card to Miami.

The Suns, Mavs, Cavs; none of those are real threats to Miami but if Lebron then says he will meet with Houston, Miami will fold.

If the Heat don't do anything after LeBron's first meeting, I won't be surprised if Houston gets a call back and meeting.

That actually makes alot of sense. LeBron can hold the entire free agency process hostage

My Sources say Lebron is Coming to Houston!

Melo must really be thinking about leaving NY for Hou/Chi
The NY/LA offer is there waiting. Why not take it if it is sooooo good like the media is saying?

I bet he is thinking Houston.
    Maybe winning is priority#1.

If MIA was an option for Melo....Pat Riley wouldn't have to force Bosh out.
He could just offer Bosh's max slot to Melo.
Houston is too attractive of a situation to have to beg guys to come.

    You're either in or out.
Lets go Melo. Come home to H-Town

LeBron and Melo are already holding the free agency process hostage, other than bad teams overpaying players (like Magic and Channing Frye)

At the end of the day, Lebron will have to wait and see which team that is available gives the best chance for him to win another trophy. Thats all.

    We got Harden and Howard.

Heat got Wade and Bosh and a heck lot of uncertainty with Melo.
