As someone that writes about sport and who is NOT a journalist....you've got to be very careful when you claim a scoop. I don't even think SI could claim a scoop. You claim a scoop when something unexpected happens. Had someone come out and said "He's going to the Jazz" and in a crazy alternative universe Lebron ends up at the Jazz....that would be a scoop. As it is SI got an exclusive but in my opinion thats about it. Guessing right isn't a scoop. Also, reading an exclusive article on SI doesn't mean youve confirmed anything. I found that really funny!
Is this guy making a fuss about ESPN not giving him credit either? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=242015
Honestly though, ESPN writers are hacks. Not talking about this particular story but the whole "Dwight meeting with L.A and could change his mind," or "Bosh has agreed to terms with the Rockets if LeBron leaves" bull**** I am sick of. Can't even take them seriously (and by them I mean Broussard, Shelburne and Whitlock).
Funny, Broussard was the 1st to say Lebron's coming back to Cleveland. Got absolutely no credit. Yet you guys flame him lol. The hypocrisy
Broussard can be ridiculous. But man, you are talking about Chris Sheridan and hard core journalistic standards! Just because he attacks every other journalist all the time, don't jump to conclusion that he's actually better than those guys. He's the worst of the bunch. It's like Putin often talks about how America intrudes into other countriess affairs too much. And yes, there's a lot of truth in that. But... Putin isn't the one to talk. If you listen to Putin, you might think he's a hard core human rights defender and he deserves the Nobel Peace prize. Sheridan is Putin when it comes to journalistic standards. Sheridan keeps making crap up, he keeps saying it's certain, most of it never comes close, and whether he manages to guess something correctly or not, he criticizes everyone else to get attention. I get what you are saying about other journalists. But your point will be much stronger if you keep Sheridan out of it. It doesn't matter that Sheridan talks about hard core journalistic standards. He takes those standards, ****s on them on a daily basis, and then talks how others aren't following them well enough. Broussard sucks, Sheridan sucks multiple times more. Stop nominating Putin for a Nobel prize!
