Morey spoke for a few minutes on the Brian Kenny Show last Friday. Not sure if it was posted. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/player?rd=1#/podcenter/?id=5170580&autoplay=1&callsign=ESPNRADIO Brief Recap: Daryl Morey on Nash: - His impact in Dallas was hidden because of their style of play. - He may be the most skilled offensive player ever. - We have him as the best shooter in the league. - I don't think the voters were crazy for voting him MVP. Undervalued Players: Can't talk about other players. But he mentions Shane and Chuck Hayes. Much harder to replace Yao's defense than offense. (paraphrasing) "Turns out that you either have 7-footers who are really good and worth a lot of money, or you should really just get a shorter guy. A lot of these 7-footers can't walk and chew gum at the same time." Talks about the Danny Ainge towel situation.
Morey ****ing stole my phrase! I've posted about how 7 footers who can walk and chew gum at the same time are guaranteed good money in the NBA.
Lies, I have it on *GOOD authority that the Rockets have tried to pay teams to take them off our hands. *terrible
I wouldn't be surprised if years from now we all hear about a last second deadline deal that feel through for Nash under Morey's watch.
Nash is a very good shooter. He may knock be knocking down 3s at an Orlando Magic player's clip but he's more accurate that most at pretty much any range.
The irony is Morey once twitted that he thought we should've beaten Phoenix in the regular season 'cause we were a better team and he was very confident about it.
wow wow, Andersen can walk and chew lots of gum. just dont ask him to run or jump with any real athleticism while doing so.
