ESPN NBA Basketball Video Game (aka NBA 2K4)

    You can do that in 2K3 too. Get position and press L1.

    It's not a good idea to stand upright, awaiting a charge when there is a guy ready to dribble around you, or shoot over you.

    Live is the NBA Jam of simulation games. Do you honestly expect me to believe Steve Francis can block a Kobe Bryant shot in the paint out to halfcourt?! The movements are horrible, they go for too much comic relief (those bench shots are funny for about 2 seconds), and it's just too easy to create a superteam in the franchise mode after about 5 years. NBA 2K3 is by far the superior game: much more realistic, much more fun, many more options (franchise, created players, season, playoff, etc).

    No way does Live even compare. Madden is a different story: NFL 2K3 just sucks.

    Edit- NBA 2K4 should be GREAT. And if Live is going to be revamped, as EA has said it would be, it'll be great to see the competition for best basketball sim game of 2004.
